In January, TBS launched their new cop comedy, Angie Tribeca, with a 25-hour marathon of all of the first season episodes. They then reran one episode each week in a regular timeslot. For season two, they’re trying a traditional schedule. Will this approach bring better ratings? Cancelled or renewed for season three? Stay tuned.
A parody of cop dramas, Angie Tribeca revolves around a lone-wolf detective named Angie (Rashida Jones) and a squad of committed LAPD detectives. They investigate the most serious cases — from the murder of a ventriloquist to a rash of baker suicides. The rest of the cast includes Hayes MacArthur, Jere Burns, Deon Cole, Andrée Vermeulen, and Jagger the dog.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
7/6 update: TBS has renewed Angie Tribeca for a third season. Details here.
