Is this the end for Aquarius? Today, series creator John McNamara announced NBC is moving the rest of season two to Saturday night.
Set in the 1960s, the crime drama centers on a experienced LA homicide detective ((David Duchovny) and his younger colleague (Grey Damon) as they investigate Charles Manson (Gethin Anthony) and his cult of followers.
On Twitter, McNamara said the rest of season two will now air on Saturdays, starting on August 27th:
#Aquarius update. Being moved to Saturdays; rest of Season 2 will air starting 8/27. We've survived this once… and will again. Semper Fi.

This could be an indication that NBC is ready to cancel Aquarius. During season one, the network moved the series to Saturdays. And so far, season two ratings have been low, with the show earning an average of only .41 in the 18-49 demo and 2.178 million viewers.
What do you think? Are you a fan of Aquarius? Do you think the show will be cancelled?
Show is outstanding ally family watches it, it’s huge with the baby boomers!
I hate to see it end too sooooooooooo good and well acted
Enjoy the show depicting the life and times in the 60’same, especially David Duchovny. Hate to see it end.
I love this show it’s so hard to find the episodes
They keep changing The times and the days
David Ducovny is brilliant and so was the rest of the cast
good show hoe to see it next season
Please DON’t cancel!
I love this show, however enjoyed the first season better than this one. It takes me back to my high school days and at the same time, is entertaining. I wish they could keep everyone in ‘their roles’ and just get past the Manson murd ers. I love the characters, the times, music etc. It’s just time to get Charlie in jail and move on to something else that happened, even if it’s fictional. Love Hodiak and all the characters!
I love this show. I’m so sick of reality shows. We need more shows like this that do have some history behind them.
Please do not cancel this show, it’s one of the best dramas out there. Really NBC…there are so many other ******** crap you could cancel, pull your heads out of your asses.
I do really like the show…. It keeps u thinking and I love seeing what things were like back then. Really hoping to see the beginning of season 3 cuz it’s gonna bother me not knowing where things go from the end of second season….. I do have a question tho…. That necklace he finds at the end of the last episode, I can’t remember the significance of it specifically to him that he is “in trouble” and calls hodiak to come help…?
Hodial gave the necklace to cherry pop when she got out of the mental hospital .
Yes, they showed that clip quick at the end. I guess idk how Brian acquired the necklace tho, and then he gave it to Sam who gave it to Emma. The part of him saying he’s in trouble is what makes me wonder is it just cuz he’s thinking Emma was there and involved, or is there some significance to how he ended up with that necklace that during the investigation could lead back to him in a bad way…?! I feel like I missed something cuz I know during the break they took earlier in season there were I’d… Read more »
Don’t Cancel Aquarius.
Best Drama on TV in 2016. I’m not in the Demographic Age. I found it fascinating especially since I work in Mental Health. I also worked for WB for 12 years and am very critical of programming. This is a good show.
Good show, I hope they keep it on. David Duchovny is a great actor and the story line keeps your attention.
Love the show
Love this show. Please do not cancel it.
I hope this show gets cancelled; I watched a couple episodes and I find too much unnecessary gore, just like many other shows that have gone ‘dark’;
I’m ready to pull the plug on a tool for society being used to lower the consciousness of the masses, instead of tv being used to uplift and educate
Tom, if you don’t like the show, just don’t watch it. It’s just that simple. I’d certainly like to see all these reality shows and half the game shows cancelled.
‘uplift and educate’? Like what, the Kardashians? You do need to actually think when you watch this show.
