Is this the sunset of the Age of Aquarius? The word from NBC is that the Aquarius TV show is more likely to be cancelled than renewed for a third season. John McNamara’s police thriller-drama stars David Duchovny, Emma Dumont, Gethin Anthony, Grey Damon, Emma Claire Holt, Ambyr Childers, Madisen Beaty, Cameron Deane Stewart, Michaela McManus, and Brian F. O’Byrne.
Earlier this week, we reported Aquarius, season two, was being moved from Thursday to Saturday, beginning August 27, 2016. According to TV Line, when NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke was asked about the chance of the network renewing Aquarius for season three, she said, “I think that’s tough.”
During the TCA 2016 Summer press session, Salke confirmed McNamara’s news about the show moving nights, as was done in the first season. TV Line reports she also stressed the second season will air, saying, “David and the talent are really important to us, and we’ll continue to support the show wherever we put it. We do have to make some schedule changes, but the show’s not being pulled off the schedule.”

I just discovered this series on Netflix….L left me waiting for more!!!!Will watch next 2episodes where ever. Hope it survives now that I am hooked
I love this show! But NBC ruins it by going 6 weeks in between episodes. Then wonders why it doesn’t succeed. NBC knew way ahead obviously of the conventions and the olympics. They could have worked the programming out. Filming was wrapped before the summer even started. The only way this great show will stay on, or get fair treatment for that matter is add Dick Wolf as executive producer, his shows are the only ones NBC cares about. Thank you NBC you bunch of dumbasses.
Totally agree! Why create a show and bury it so it has no chance to do well? Epic fail NBC for wasting this show in a summer lineup and Saturday run. No press no support from the network.
Absolutely love this show. Great acting and storytelling. I think it’s one of the best on the networks, and I’m surprised I don’t hear more about it. David Duchovny is fantastic.I really hope they don’t cancel it, although the move to Saturday is not a good sign.

There are so few shows that are steeped in good plot and character development, these days…I will look ANYPLACE for a good story–so, PLEASE, DO NOT QUIT TELLING THIS TALE! It’s very good historical fiction, for those of us who lived during these historical times…the past still has important lessons to teach about human behavior and motivation. This program explains so much about how people arrived to these present times–I say, let the saga continue to unfold. Thank you!.

The content is not for the faint of heart, but David Duchovny is excellent in this portrayal of a detective during this tiime period. I watch the show, then watch multiple times on demand! Yep I’m hooked.
Please do not cancel this show. I grew up in Sumi Valley and remember very well driving through box canyon and passing by the Manson quarters and seeing the hippies. This show brings into prospective of how Manson got all these followers. I really enjoy and look forward to each week. My husband likes it too and I’ll tell you we don’t watch many things on TV. Thank you.
i think it’s an interesting show – good character development, duchovny is a dynamite actor….story line is complex and has context for what’s happening in this country even now….truly hope it gets renewed. really fine supporting cast also….
This is an awesome show! This should have been on HBO or showtime.. DD is a great actor and this had makers of a great show.. Too bad NBC is doing this nonsense.. Switching it in midseason. I’m sure the DD and the team isn’t happy at all with the powers to be.. Nbc suits, are all the same.. I wouldn’t waste a second of my time watching your lame ‘Americas got talent or whatever reality tv you have now.. You killed a great show and idea of a show.. Shameful.. DD stick with showtime and HBO

I love this show and would be very disappointed if it were not to be continued into season 3. This is the only show on network television that I actually watch on t.v. and not Netflix… I really hope it will be renewed!
