TV show description:
A drama, this TV series revolves around two mismatched law enforcement officers. They have polar opposite views of the world and (possibly) a grudging respect for each other’s abilities as they clean up the streets of Battle Creek, Michigan.
Detective Russ Agnew (Dean Winters) is a good but gruff and hard-boiled detective. He’s had his world turned upside down when strikingly handsome and charismatic Special Agent Milton Chamberlain (Josh Duhamel) opens an FBI field office at the police station — and he chooses Russ to be his partner.
Milt’s polished sophistication and access to unlimited state-of-the-art equipment is impressive to his new co-workers in the absurdly underfunded department.
The pair work long hours together in the economically distressed city and it remains to be seen if Milt’s charm and endless supply of high-end resources or Russ’s old-fashioned cynicism, guile and deception will be the keys to catching the bad guys.
Other characters include Commander Guziewicz (Janet McTeer), Detective Fontanelle White (Kal Penn), Holly Dale (Aubrey Dollar), and Aaron Funkhauser (Edward Fordham, Jr.).
Episode #13 — Sympathy for the Devil
Milt survives a car bombing and enlists Russ to track down his would-be assassin, leading to startling revelations as to why Milt is the way he is and what brought him to Battle Creek.
First aired: May 24, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like the Battle Creek TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season instead?
extremely disappointed to see it go!!!!
Love this program – please do not cancel.
Loved Battle Creek. Great chemistry between all the cast members. So sad to see it go.
Come on, CBS. OK, you blew it. Here’s hoping the USA Network is on the ball and picks this one up.
THEIR shows have humans with heart, smart plots, great acting…all the elements that don’t seem to work for YOU.
This is a really good show with a great cast of characters. I can’t believe they cancelled it already, just goes to prove CBS just won’t give a good show a chance.
I can’t believe that Battle Creek was cancelled when there are some really stupid shows still on. Why do the networks think that people over 49 don’t appreciate tv shows. I’m tired of dumb reality shows. I think NBC cancelled too many good shows, as well as Fox. I wish I knew how to make the networks change their minds. If a show I like is against another show I will record that other show and watch it later; that doesn’t mean I don’t like a show.
This is a show that most everyone loves. However CBS is looking for the perfect ratings so they cancelled it. This is why I don’t watch CBS
Keep the show!! I only watch CBS for this reason!
With all the lousy shows on TV you cancel a great one….makes no sense
I was so surprised when I saw the series was cancelled. I love this show. I think that CBS should give it another try.
We were stunned at the news Battle Creek was cancelled! NO, don’t do it, you should think again! It is a great cast, great writing and fun! It was our favorite from the first show! There was no breaking in period, it was good from the beginning. Battle Creek deserves a better shot; different time slot, something. Just don’t change writers or cast!
This show is truly good and definitely should be renewed. The acting is superb as is the writing. My entire family is upset that it is not coming back.
I agree completely with Jay. This was one of the few smart shows on TV and we enjoyed it thoroughly. Sad to see it go.
Keep this show — it is a good show with good actors. .
My wife and I are very disappointed. CBS has cancelled a truly interesting and quality show without giving it adequate time. They were premature in almost terminating Blue Bloods after its first year and they are making that mistake here.
