TV show description:
A drama, this TV series revolves around two mismatched law enforcement officers. They have polar opposite views of the world and (possibly) a grudging respect for each other’s abilities as they clean up the streets of Battle Creek, Michigan.
Detective Russ Agnew (Dean Winters) is a good but gruff and hard-boiled detective. He’s had his world turned upside down when strikingly handsome and charismatic Special Agent Milton Chamberlain (Josh Duhamel) opens an FBI field office at the police station — and he chooses Russ to be his partner.
Milt’s polished sophistication and access to unlimited state-of-the-art equipment is impressive to his new co-workers in the absurdly underfunded department.
The pair work long hours together in the economically distressed city and it remains to be seen if Milt’s charm and endless supply of high-end resources or Russ’s old-fashioned cynicism, guile and deception will be the keys to catching the bad guys.
Other characters include Commander Guziewicz (Janet McTeer), Detective Fontanelle White (Kal Penn), Holly Dale (Aubrey Dollar), and Aaron Funkhauser (Edward Fordham, Jr.).
Episode #13 — Sympathy for the Devil
Milt survives a car bombing and enlists Russ to track down his would-be assassin, leading to startling revelations as to why Milt is the way he is and what brought him to Battle Creek.
First aired: May 24, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like the Battle Creek TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season instead?
I Love This Show! The ratings were probably down due to the NBA Playoffs!
Take off those suck ass reality shows!
CBS doesn’t know when they have a good show going! Listen to your viewers.
I was deeply disappointed to hear this has been cancelled. The writing was clever and the characters believable. I grew up in the Midwest and lived most of my adult life there. I have also spent time in Battle Creek. Further, Battle Creek, the show, did not have “over the top” violence as so many of the detective/crime shows do. Please, CBS, reconsider.
This show is great adult tv with complex, interesting, enegmatic characters so, of course, it is being cancelled. If we are lucky, it will be picked up elsewhere.
Who do we write to get Battle Creek renewed? The cast is terrific and the twists are engaging.
I loved this show and am so disappointed it has been cancelled. It should be renewed. It is so much better than a lot of shows now on the network. PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!!!!
Loved Batle Creek! Please give them another try
Absolutely loved this show!! I can’t believe they are cancelling it. Great characters and storyline. It had action, intrigue and funny which I think is lacking on TV right now. Bring back battle creek please!!
Love this show. One of the more intelligent detective series. The writers, the actors, all the people involved have it right. I can’t believe it is cancelled.
This show with its smart writing, wit, and likeable characters should not have cancelled. Great opening credits too!
I absolutely loved this show. I am shocked that it has been cancelled. I loved the chemistry with all actors. I loved the storyline ….everything. Please bring it back. What are you thinking?
This show is too good to cancel! Please bring it back for us who like intelligent and entertaining television.
This is a great. Cubs should not cancel.
This show is smart, funny and underrated. Let intelligent watchers have a decent show to watch.
Bring this show back!!!
It is terrible news that Battle Creek will not have a second season!!! WHY??? Obviously viewers who appreciate NON-juvenile shows are not in the majority!
