TV show description:
A drama, this TV series revolves around two mismatched law enforcement officers. They have polar opposite views of the world and (possibly) a grudging respect for each other’s abilities as they clean up the streets of Battle Creek, Michigan.
Detective Russ Agnew (Dean Winters) is a good but gruff and hard-boiled detective. He’s had his world turned upside down when strikingly handsome and charismatic Special Agent Milton Chamberlain (Josh Duhamel) opens an FBI field office at the police station — and he chooses Russ to be his partner.
Milt’s polished sophistication and access to unlimited state-of-the-art equipment is impressive to his new co-workers in the absurdly underfunded department.
The pair work long hours together in the economically distressed city and it remains to be seen if Milt’s charm and endless supply of high-end resources or Russ’s old-fashioned cynicism, guile and deception will be the keys to catching the bad guys.
Other characters include Commander Guziewicz (Janet McTeer), Detective Fontanelle White (Kal Penn), Holly Dale (Aubrey Dollar), and Aaron Funkhauser (Edward Fordham, Jr.).
Episode #13 — Sympathy for the Devil
Milt survives a car bombing and enlists Russ to track down his would-be assassin, leading to startling revelations as to why Milt is the way he is and what brought him to Battle Creek.
First aired: May 24, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like the Battle Creek TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season instead?

Please do not cancel Battlecreek, it is a very good show. My husband and I finally found a show that we enjoy watching every week.
I only found out Battle Creek was cancelled after I watched the season finale then checked the internet to find out when Season 2 would air. Still in shock and can’t understand why it was cancelled. Strong cast. Great writing. Interesting characters. And the relationship between Dean Winters and Josh Duhamel was just starting to thaw. Was already familiar with DW’s work but had never seen JD in anything before. Now a big fan. I’m going through major withdrawal. I hope CBS reconsiders or another network picks it up as Battle Creek has the potential to be a multi season… Read more »
I can’t believe this show has been cancelled! My husband and I are very disappointed. We hope CBS reconsiders and brings it back.
finally well scripted well acted series the personalties had life but not given half a chance but I see cbs is going to have a serie about cartoon girl.hero rubbish heading 4 the vast wasteland again
I am writing on behalf of 3 households. We are totally disgusted that Battle Creek has been cancelled. CBS has got it wrong. This is an awesome show. The cast was perfectly selected, (they all meshed) and script well written. Not a thing needed tweaking. No character/actor needed to be changed. It was edgy without being raunchy. Everyone could watch. All 3 households are seriously considering “cancelling” CBS.
We loved this show. There was nothing wrong with it . Nothing needed fixing. The show , characters, script, location, was perfect. It all worked great. It was just waiting for an audience to find it. We will really miss this show. To everyone involved with Battle Creek We thank you for your efforts and you should be proud of yourselves. I wish there was something more I could do, to help get you back into production again. Please renew this show. Thank you.
There is a petition you can sign I found it through face book. Also go to CBS and comment in their broadcast feedback.
The show is good. A lot better than some other shows which got renewed. Dean Winters is terrific. I would love to see more of him on TV.
Please go to CBS and leave your comments on broadcast feed back. They need to hear all the people who loved the show and want it back.
“Battle Creek” quickly became one of my favorite new shows on TV this season, and my wife and I were very disappointed to learn that it would not be brought back this fall. It had become one of the highlights of our Sunday night TV viewing. The way the dynamic developed and evolved between the two main characters was absolutely terrific, filled plenty of sarcastic, good-ol’-boy humor mixed with several gritty moments in which they were brutally honest with each other. And the ongoing story line involving Russ’s hidden feelings for Holly, his frustration at how to handle this tricky… Read more »
My wife and I really enjoy Battle Creek. The cast is first rate and the writing is edgy and fun. I am hoping another network picks it up.
PLEASE DON’T CANCEL THIS EXCELLENT SHOW. DON’T YOU KNOW HOW GOOD IT IS? WHY DON’T YOU JUST LISTEN THE YOUR AUDIENCE … ME? KINDLY REINSTATE.
Battle Creek was an excellent show — it just got a crappy time slot. I loved the characters and the story line. I can’t believe it was cancelled. CBS, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring it back!
Battle Creek was a great show. Wonderful actors. I guess they, the writers and actors, were just too bright for the networks to wait a bit to see if it picks up an audience. Really was a treat and I am sorry it is gone.
loved the show! Please renew!!! Perfect Sunday nite entertainment.
We really liked Battle Creek, each week it got better and better. We can’t understand why it did not get another season, it just needed time to attract a larger audience . Hope the suits at CBS reconsider. (do they read these posts?)
This series should NOT be cancelled! It was a unique and entertaining show with talented stars. The supporting cast was also outstanding. Battle Creek was nol like other cop shows. It was above and beyond and gets my vote for renewal!!!
