With a great lead-in, Beauty and the Beast has the best chance of any new CW show this season of getting solid ratings. Will it survive or, like last year’s Secret Circle, or will it be cancelled?
Following a young beautiful homicide detective and her handsome-yet-scarred protector, Beauty and the Beast typically airs Thursday nights on The CW network. The cast includes Kristin Kreuk, Jay Ryan, Nina Lisandrello, Brian White, Max Brown, Nicole Gale Anderson, and Austin Basis.

Year-to-year, compared to The Secret Circle’s premiere in the same post-Vampire Diaries timeslot, the network was down by 8% in the demo (vs a 1.3 rating) and down 8% in viewership (vs 3.05 million). While these numbers were still very good, Beauty and the Beast won’t survive if its numbers fall like Secret Circle’s did.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

They renovated B & B with 0.5 / 1 and 1; 24 viewers? B & B was a FLOP!: Show boring and ugly with mediocre actors (two pieces of wood). The CW Network will not have a long life because unable to renew.
I won’t attach “medicore”to Jay Ryan. He has compelling performance there. His eyes literally can convey any emotion without any word.
Smoky hot and excellent actors.
Please don’t cancel the series there should be a second series it so good to see something we enjoy and look forward to seeing each week.
Why aren’t more people watching this. It’s well written, well acted and thoughtful . Where are the people? What the heck are they watching on Thursday nights instead?

I love this show. PLEASE RENEW. I DO NOT watch detective shows , at all, but I like this. I love the romance between C & V. I am a romantic. I think, the show needs a “little kick” to bring people back to watch it. It needs something. I look forward to the show each week and I hate it when it is not shown every week. I even go on demand to watch the reruns.
