ABC continues their search to find a new hit family sitcom for Wednesday nights. So many have failed and been cancelled. Will Black-ish be the next to go or will it be a success in the ratings and be renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.
On Black-ish, patriarch Dre Johnson (Anthony Anderson) begins to wonder if his success has caused him and his family to lose touch with their roots. The rest of the family is played by Tracee Ellis Ross, Yara Shahidi, Marcus Scribner, Miles Brown, Marsai Martin, and Laurence Fishburne.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/8 update: ABC has renewed Black-ish for a second season.
Final season averages: 2.28 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 7.10 million total viewers.

Due to a Nielsen glitch, some of the early ratings of the 2014-15 season were revised a few weeks later.
Note: These are the final national numbers (unless noted with an “*”). These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the Black-ish TV show? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Racism is taught, prejudice is learned from experience.
what is wrong with the producers, or writers they certainly must hate white people that is for certain. Sharpton & Obama must be laughting at us.
Wake up white people & protest….enough is enough
Horrible, disguesting show..Everyone of them…Get this show off.
I will never watch again,my husband and I kept hoping their would be a turn around on the hope episode…. didn’t happen, I am offended and owed an apology! Immediately stopped dvr from recording after episode was over. How about the cops that lost their lives or ANYTHING other than the poor black people? If I were black I wouldn’t want anyone feeling sorry for me….
I am sorry, but you don’t know hoe you would geel if you were black. No more than a ,an cam know how a woman feels whrn giving birth. So instead of feeding the fire, what do you think we can do to change the inequalities that exist between whites and blacks? Some feel that if we expect more of ourselves, that will fix the problem. But unfortunately, there are millions who actually DO think more of ourselves and statistics show we STILL don’t receive equal pay or opportunities. And are unfairly treated by police. You seem pretty educated, so… Read more »
I am a police officer’s widow and last nights’ show was an affront to all of those who risk their lives every night to keep us safe. Perhaps the show should tackle black on black violence and encourage their children to be educated and succeed as their parents have instead of making their success a bad thing and not (black enough). I am an ex viewer.
Awful awful awful, my husband is a police officer, he makes crap money to have people tell him how terrible of a person he is just because of his job. Show should be cancelled immediately, that was rediculous!
I was outraged last night as we tuned in to see the episode of Blackish. The show has done a 360% turn- a round. We enjoyed the show when it was light hearted and about todays families and their issues. Never would I expect to see the blatant lack of respect and race baiting that I saw last night. The grandfather telling the son-Cops are a bunch of damn thugs- really- great message to send to your children-That show will never be on in my home again. You should be ashamed of yourself- I hope the show is canceled and… Read more »
The grandfather is playing a character, just like the racist grandpa in white tv shows. You wouldn’t understand, because you don’t get how black families work. And there is a cop problem, and the way we address it in our households is real. The grandpa is prejudice, the dad is scared, and the kids are open minded. That’s how it works, sorry if they are depicting real black families. I identify with the characters on black-ish because I am black. You might identify with Full House. Sorry but not all households are ran that way.
Cancel this show as soon as possible! Racism has no room in today’s society. The show about cops being the bad guys is wrong. Criminals cause there own fate.

Where are the idiots that write show disguesting show. Of course the producers are not reading any of this…they are just like them..its all about money
The hair styles in the last episodes are so ugly. I am going to stop watching it
Who’s idea was it to mess up the hair !!!!!
I used to love the show
It’s very RACIST, offends white race, should be removed, no white show could get by with it why should they? Needs to go, its sickening.
Total Racist show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope this show gets canceled soon. It bothers me how ok people are with this show it breeds hate. I get that there isn’t many shows about successful black families but Fresh Prince of Belair seemed to do great without focasing every episode on skin tone and was still able to bring awarness on racism and other issues
This is the most racist show I’ve seen in years! Every episode opens with something negative about what white people did to blacks in the past. I see nothing positive about this show at all for our society.
You mean negative things that white people to do black people in the past, and present.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this show!! It is hilarious. Nothing racist at all. All i see is actors portraying
an all american successful black family . So refreshing. It’s the best sitcom on tv. I have told so many coworkers to watch it, most of which are black and love it. Laugh out loud funny!!!
Please don’t cancel
