What’s This TV Show About?
An NBC action thriller, The Blacklist stars James Spader, Megan Boone, Diego Klattenhoff, Amir Arison, Mozhan Marnò, Hisham Tawfiq, and Harry Lennix. The crime drama centers on one of the FBI’s most wanted fugitives, Raymond “Red” Reddington (Spader), who offers to help the authorities, if rookie agent Elizabeth Keen (Boone) partners with him. In season six, following revelations that Red is not who he claimed to be, Liz is determined to get to the truth, even while Red continues to build his empire and eliminate his rivals.
Season Six Ratings
The sixth season of The Blacklist averaged a 0.57 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.00 million total viewers. Compared to season five, that is down by 38% and 29%, respectively. Find out how The Blacklist stacks up against the other NBC TV shows.

Will NBC cancel or renew The Blacklist for season seven? The numbers are way down, yet again, so I feel like this show will end this year or next. This show’s fate has gotten harder to call over the years, and the cancellation of the spin-off didn’t help matters. If the network had a replacement in place, it might be easier to bid the original adieu. For now, I’ll keep a hungry eye on the Nielsens and update this page with breaking developments. I absolutely love love love watching the Blacklist. Completely addicted! James Spader is amazing and never disappoints, and the whole cast is fantastic. The storyline keeps me guessing. I hope the story continues for many seasons to come!
I love Blacklist, but would love to see Liz get some well deserved ass-whooping! Poor Red is always saving her touche, and she does all she can cause him trouble!
I am surprised that The Blacklist was renewed for it felt like I was going on a hunt to try and find it while it was airing for it never aired on the same day or time for more then two weeks at a time last season. Then again I was expecting because of the shifting air times that the ratings would be nearly non-existent.
Yayyy! I came in here fully expecting to see this one cancelled because it had a very rough early 2018 – 2019. But it definitely found its footing in the 2019 part of the season actually bringing back the energy and the excitement of its earlier years. And I can’t help it, I just cannot get enough of the amazing James Spader! He is the king of actors!!

Yes! Please keep Blacklist. One of few shows my husband and I enjoy watching together! And we don’t watch it in real time either. The Nielsen ratings are inaccurate I’m sure. It’s a great show, well written and the characters are great!!

Glad Blacklist has been renewed, this season has been terrific. The ratings may be down from last year, but what do you expect when you put it on a Friday night? I’d put it back on Monday night or Thursday night.

well written and acted are hard to find!
Watch this show with my family & our ages range from 15-65. We used to watch on Hulu where it was always in the “trending or popular right now” category. To say it’s ratings are down is annoying because 6 years ago some people still watched regular TV but helllllo lameo neilson Guys – it’s 2019, why sit through 9 pharmaceutical commercials every 5 min when it’s much more interesting and convienent to stack episodes and watch w/o or w/ limited commercials. I buy season passes even on iTunes or Amazon for some shows because I hate watching with commercials… Read more »
Keep blacklist
It appears that NBC always cancels shows that the older generation enjoys. sick & tired of game shows, reality shows & talent shows. Keep the Blacklist & Manifest. Old people aren’t dead!!

I love the blacklist it’s my favorite show but I just came to say MANY people including myself watch it online so the ratings are way higher than your calculations and I would be so sad if they are not renewed for season 7
this person is absolutely right The Nielsen ratings are too old most people DVR or go on demand or watch it on line. I DVR it because on Saturdays there is truly nothing on. I love watching TV so I DVR everything I hate to tell you but the younger crowd are not watching a ton of TV they have their special shows and then they go to bed early. This is a different generation You have to change with the times
