Will you miss Bless This Mess? The cast and creators of the ABC TV show have posted their reactions to the series’ cancellation.
The sitcom series follows young newlyweds Mike and Rio Levine-Young (Dax Shepard and Lake Bell) who give up their lives in New York City to run a farm in Nebraska that Mike’s great-aunt left to him. The cast also includes Ed Begley Jr., Pam Grier, JT Neal, David Koechner, and Madison Curry.
As reported earlier, ABC has cancelled Bless This Mess after two seasons. Creators Liz Meriwether and Lake Bell posted their goodbyes to the series on social media alongside farewell messages from cast members Dax Shepard and JT Neal:

I am really bummed this show got cancelled. It is a hilariously funny show. I loved all the cast. I really wish ABC would have a change of heart.
Please don’t cancel Bless This Mess. We enjoy the show. It is fun and light hearted. Which is what we all need. Please please not canncel
We are so bummed about this. LOVED this show. I mean my husband and I seriously laughed out loud so many times while watching an episode. The actors were fantastic. Every single one of them. We were so excited for next season, now with Rio pregnant. C’mon ABC, reconsider!
First, some other network needs to pick this up asap!
Second, this show was a breath of fresh air considering the alternative garbage that in some cases went on for years.
And, I was pleasantly surprised by this show and found Ed Begley Jr (one of my environmental heroes) so dead pan funny!!
THIS SHOW NEEDS TO CONTINUE ( and thank you for 2 seasons thus far)…..
I love Bless This Mess – it gave me ear-to-ear smiles and out-loud laughs, and who doesn’t need that? It was smart, quirky, good-hearted, human, clever, unexpected, and so damn funny. What lovable, flawed people. Honestly, what more could anyone ask? I am so disappointed in this misguided decision; OF COURSE, I would watch a 3rd season….and a 4th and a 5th. It was on my DVR whole series list, so I wouldn’t miss an episode. I can’t imagine what warranted cancellation and so wish someone would reverse it. As a baby boomer, I got it. The show reminded me of petticoat junction and Green acres great characters great actors going to miss it.
I don’t get it, this show was hilarious.
Ah come on, it was a funny show, nothing serious, really good to wind down to. Next you’ll tell me Santa Claus is make believe….. :/
I am really disappointed this show is cancelled.. I thought it was hilarious with a great cast! Please reconsider this decision. We need a good, funny show like this… Don’t take it away!
This was a great show very pissed off that you cancelled it. But yet you left that stupid show that I never watch you it and will never watch named the blackish. And you were more than likely keep the other show mixish, which is really stupid. ABC you suck!! Not only did I quit watching GMA I’m going to quit watching all of your stupid ABC shows.
I am done with ABC. The killed the Kids Are Alright last year, now 2 more of my favorite shows Bless This Mess and Schooled. I am not watching anymore new shows from ABC. Get it together people!
I’m with you, Jason. The Kids Are Alright was the only TV family I ever related to, and now this! I’m glad ABC renewed Stumptown, though.
I 100% would have been a loyal fan of this show for as many more seasons as they had. The content was brilliant and creative and inspiring. It’s so sad that it’s been canceled.
This show was not funny. Boring and slow! I can see why it got cut!
Bless This Mess is the only sitcom I will turn off Netflix for. Really disappointed…Rio and Mike with a baby would have been television gold!
