NBC believes in their new show Blindspot. The network has ordered nine additional scripts for the new Monday night drama reports THR.
Debuting on September 21st, Blindspot had the most promising debut of any new show so far this season. The premiere drew a 3.12 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 10.61 million viewers. Per the fast affiliates, last night’s installment was down 17% in the demo and down 14% in viewers. Those percentages aren’t unreasonable for a second episode.
While the nine script order isn’t a guarantee that NBC will order additional episodes of Blindspot into production, it certainly is a good sign. Given the ratings of the rest of NBC’s scripted series, it seems very likely that Blindspot will have at least 22 episodes this season.
What do you think? Do you like the Blindspot TV show? Is it a hit? Do you think NBC should order more episodes?
We love this show! Great. chemistry. Great action. Please. keep this show on!
I’m glad someone else brought up the male lead’s atrocious, halting, mumbles. He is literally painful to watch/listen to!
How do they pick these actors when so many good ones are unemployed?
Blindspot is a very innovative and intriguing new show which hooked me from the very first minute of the show
I loved it. Fast action, good script-writing, edgy characters, and I really don’t see how people are comparing it to the Blacklist. Why compare anyway? Let the show stand on its own. It’s a good sign the network ordered 9 more scripts – let’s just hope they make them into episodes.
I hate when the networks do not commit to a show. It looks like a great show but will they cancel it just as I really into it
Blindspot is a Watch List clone, a bad guy mystery of the week to solve from some clue. Others have commented on the male lead, I can’t even remember this person – obviously he didn’t make any good impression on me. I’ll try a couple more weeks and see if I continue watching after that.
Take a glance at the photographs of Griest and Haver, published earlier this month, the first two females to graduate from Ranger training school. Look at them carrying males weighing 180 pounds on their shoulders. Then look at the arms and shoulders of this tatooed beauty, and ask yourself if this transgender Michael Jackson clone, looks like a 110 pound female, with 32% body fat, who could have achieved success completing a Navy Seal training program? For me, this show fails not simply because of the miscasting. Both leads have been unpersuasive in the first two episodes. However, the larger… Read more »
Writing for “Blindspot”: Great! Overall performances on the show: Meh… I enjoy Jaimie Alexander’s work. She is a strong actress. Unfortunately, the overall mood of the show is compromised by the rubbish performance of the actor opposite of her, Sullivan Stapleton. He would be fine if not for the fact that he delivers his lines as if he is asthmatic, desperate for a deep breath. Eighty percent of what he says is lost in a jumble of over-acted mumbles. If I am to enjoy a show, the last thing I want to do is rewind the DVR a million times… Read more »
