Airing after The Voice on Monday nights, The Blacklist became a hit TV show for NBC. The network is hoping that history will repeat itself and Blindspot will also be a ratings success. Will it be a hit or a flop? Cancelled or renewed for a second season? Stay tuned!
On Blindspot, a Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) is found inside a body bag that’s been left in Times Square. It’s marked for the attention of the FBI. Suspecting a bomb, the agents are shocked to see Jane emerge naked and covered with complex tattoos. Having no memory and having no records of her existence, the tattoos provide the only clues as to the woman’s identity. Supervising Agent Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) is brought in and is shocked to find his name inked on her back. The rest of the cast includes Audrey Esparza, Rob Brown, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Ukweli Roach, and Ashley Johnson.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
11/9 update: NBC has renewed Blindspot for a second season.
5/24 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Blindspot TV series? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
The shows lately have a very poor sound effect balance. Too loud and too disturbing. Definitely not professional.
I like the show, but can’t hear a lot of the dialogue because of the overly loud background music.
Love this show. Tight ensemble cast, great story line. Many have mentioned the background music. Frankly I hadn’t noticed. I’ll have to pay closer attention. But if NBC was looking for another Blacklist, it’s found it. Keep it comin’!
Love the show but if you don’t fix the annoying background being so loud in no going to continue to watch. I hope someone reads all these posts saying the same thing.
Love the show…. But PLEASE turn down the GD background music! It’s extremely annoying and viewers are unable to hear the dialogue! If this continues, I will have but no choice then to cancel my PVR setting….
There are so many comments on the background music……. I will have to pay attention to see if it’s annoying. lol….. I haven’t noticed, are you guys listening to this on t.v.’s or surround sound stereos? Because, when i go to my parents house and watch there t.v. with sound. There background is louder then mine. The background music is on the smaller surround speakers at my house, so it’s not overwhelming or annoying to me. I like the show; good action, production value is good and I like the actors.
Re “Older Cutthroat Canyon”
Background music is much too loud, much too disturbing. Rate at 2 star.
The story line is very interesting and the acting is great. However, the music is so loud and annoying that often the dialogue cannot be clearly heard. Although we enjoy the show, we are not planning to continue watching it because of the music.
Really like the show but the background music should be just that….in the background. Many times throughout the show the music is so overpowering you cannot understand what they are saying. Could you please tone it down? And it is not my tv – none of the other shows I watch have such annoying music. If this detail is taking care of, I would like to see another season, otherwise I will give up on this one I’m afraid.
Agreed with respect to the background music. It’s so loud, it’s distracting and making this show not worth watching.
Story arc is very predictable. Same things happening on every episode. Camera work is so annoying. I hope it ends soon.
I really tried to like this show, but I can’t watch it anymore. It’s the same thing every week and has been done to death on many other programs. Besides Jaime Alexander, the other actors on this show are awful. I have a feeling NBC is regretting the early renewal.
I really like the show! Look forward to watching!! The music I find really distracting, when the actors are talking. It’s like renting a video during set up and they keep asking you to press play.. I find it over powering.
Good hope it gets cancelled. The music is so annoying you can t hear anything they are saying. And every week trying to solve a tattoo isn’t much of a plot. Cameras always shaking. We have enough new series to enjoy we won’t miss this one….
Shows ok, but a bit over the top in believability. If I catch it I’ll watch it, but I’m not a devoted fan.
This is a great show, however the background noise adds nothing and makes dialog hard to understand. If you won’t remove it please turn it down.
Thank you
