The oil may be running dry. Deadline reports that ABC has just reduced Blood & Oil‘s initial episode order down from 13 to 10.
The news comes the same day NBC cut their new drama The Player down from 13 episodes to nine.
Starring Don Johnson and Chace Crawford, Blood & Oil follows a young couple who move to the booming North Dakota oil fields to hit it big. The primetime soap premiered on September 27 to around 6.3 million viewers. But in recent weeks, ratings have declined by almost half.
The series has not been officially cancelled yet and will continue in its current timeslot until the tenth episode airs later this fall.

I hope you don’t cancel. Love the show. Reminds me of the good old days of Dallas and Dynasty!! Remember its competing against Walking Dead that I watch religiously every Sunday night but on Monday morning I watch it On Demand while I drink my coffee. I’ve missed it the last three weeks.

I thought the show was very well done and enjoyed the actors portrayal in their roles.
Good show. Watch it off dvr life everything else. Networks need to get a grip on this same night viewing stuff. Most 18 to 40 crowd know how to use a dvr So they can watch on their schedule
