TV show description:
This soap opera follows a young couple as they move to Williston, North Dakota in order to seek their fortune. It’s said that a millionaire is made every day in this town that’s been booming since the discovery of a huge oil reserve.
Tycoon Hap Briggs (Don Johnson) is a typical oil drilling Barron and a force to be reckoned with. In contrast to Briggs’ self-made image is his socialite wife, Carla (Amber Valletta), who is forever jetting off to the city.
Confronted with his legacy, he is riled by his heavy drinking college dropout son, Wick (Scott Michael Foster), who’s sense of entitlement makes him an undeserving heir.
Meanwhile, Billy (Chace Crawford) and Cody LeFever (Rebecca Rittenhouse) are pursuing the American dream. They’re determined to succeed in a place that’s reminiscent of a frontier town during the gold rush — there are rowdy bars and no shortage of men easily making and parting with money.
Hap takes Billy under his wing with Billy’s drive and commitment reminding Hap of himself as a young man. Seeing someone take his place causes Wick to lose control and he embarks on a vicious campaign of hatred against those who he believes have wronged him.
Episode #10 — Departures
Christmas is a time for coming together, but for the Lefevers, it’s a time of difficult choices. Billy faces an ultimatum to either save his marriage by leaving Rock Springs forever or to stay in the oil game alone while Cody experiences temptation in the form of another man. With the Black Elks land deal slipping away, Annie and Hap consider doing the unthinkable – joining forces to help secure this once-in-a-lifetime oil acquisition. Fearing the fate of his son, AJ enlists Tip to help bring the child to safety. And finally, another father-and-son relationship is pushed to its limits when Hap and Wick finally lay it all out on the table at the Briggs Christmas Eve gathering.
First aired: December 10, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like the Blood & Oil TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
The best series on tv right now! We all absolutely love blood and oil!!! Renew renew renew!!!!
I think it is a good series. It is exciting and different. I think it would be a shame to cancel the show.
I can’t believe blood and oil was canceled already. I loved the show. ABC didn’t even give it a chance. Every time I start getting into a series on abc they cancel it. ABC the only thing I’ll be watching on your network will be Nashville.
Love this show! One of the best on the air. Please keep it!
Renew. Great show and I will miss it!
This is one of the best new shows out there. ABC needs to renew it or the show needs to move to another network such as USA or A&E. There are a lot of fans with this show. ABC didn’t do it any favors with the day and time slot. Idk what is going on over at ABC but they’re getting almost as bad as CBS. First they cancelled Wicked City and now Blood and Oil. They don’t really know what they’re doing. They need to renew Blood and Oil if they want to keep viewers loyal to their network.
Why in the world? Great writers, great cast, and all around great show which deserves a chance.
I really enjoyed this show. Loved Don Johnson and would love for it to come back!!
There’s an old age: “If you can’t afford to get Elizabeth Taylor (for a role), settle for Joan Collins.” Well, if you can’t recapture the suspense and intrigue of DALLAS (the ORIGINAL series, not the TNT sequel), what you end up with is
“Blood & Oil”. “Blood & Oil” was given the coveted Sunday night primetime slot of 9p-10p (EST) and that primo spot was squandered with a poorly written, cliché filled, wanna-be nighttime soap.
Sorry that another Sunday night guilty pleasure show has been cancelled far too quickly. I do want to say to the powers that be….Thank You for at least ending it with a finale, rather than leaving us hanging with an untold finish. On that note, please sell the show to another network, one that has the guts to let it ride longer than you did.
Plz renew
Great show. Great acting and plots . Needs more than 10 episodes. There are a lot of shows currently on too long that should be cancelled but go on and on. Please give us season two .
It was the only show that was good on sundY night
I am a fan of Don Johnson and as soon as I heard of this show I just had to watch, and I loved it, didn’t miss an episode. I hope they change their minds about cancelling it. I know they pretty much wrapped everything up in this last episode but they can come back with twist on a 2nd season. Hap really being Jules baby’s father and Hap and his ex wife going at it again either hooking up or ******** each other up in business, and Billy’s ambition getting in the way of his happiness with Cody. There… Read more »
