TV show description:
This soap opera follows a young couple as they move to Williston, North Dakota in order to seek their fortune. It’s said that a millionaire is made every day in this town that’s been booming since the discovery of a huge oil reserve.
Tycoon Hap Briggs (Don Johnson) is a typical oil drilling Barron and a force to be reckoned with. In contrast to Briggs’ self-made image is his socialite wife, Carla (Amber Valletta), who is forever jetting off to the city.
Confronted with his legacy, he is riled by his heavy drinking college dropout son, Wick (Scott Michael Foster), who’s sense of entitlement makes him an undeserving heir.
Meanwhile, Billy (Chace Crawford) and Cody LeFever (Rebecca Rittenhouse) are pursuing the American dream. They’re determined to succeed in a place that’s reminiscent of a frontier town during the gold rush — there are rowdy bars and no shortage of men easily making and parting with money.
Hap takes Billy under his wing with Billy’s drive and commitment reminding Hap of himself as a young man. Seeing someone take his place causes Wick to lose control and he embarks on a vicious campaign of hatred against those who he believes have wronged him.
Episode #10 — Departures
Christmas is a time for coming together, but for the Lefevers, it’s a time of difficult choices. Billy faces an ultimatum to either save his marriage by leaving Rock Springs forever or to stay in the oil game alone while Cody experiences temptation in the form of another man. With the Black Elks land deal slipping away, Annie and Hap consider doing the unthinkable – joining forces to help secure this once-in-a-lifetime oil acquisition. Fearing the fate of his son, AJ enlists Tip to help bring the child to safety. And finally, another father-and-son relationship is pushed to its limits when Hap and Wick finally lay it all out on the table at the Briggs Christmas Eve gathering.
First aired: December 10, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like the Blood & Oil TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
One of my favorite shows! Leave it to ABC to let go of a great show:( I am extremely disappointed!!!!!!
I love it!!!! Keep it
Blood & Oil was neglected by ABC by giving 95% season ads on Once Upon a Time and Quantico. This was a family drama, not a Spy drama or Medical adrenaline show. After two shows I was hooked. Shame on ABC!
ABC, I truly hope you do not cancel Blood & Oil. There’s not much else on TV anymore that stays and you (ABC executives) wonder why nothing is ever given a chance?! After 2 shows the rumor mill starts that it’s getting cancelled so off course your ratings suddenly drop because now you have essentially told people “not to invest” in this show because it will be cancelled. I am sick of it! Not since the 90’s, have I sat down and looked forward to a show. It would be nice if you listened to the viewers! Put it on… Read more »
Excellent show-PLEASE renew!
It’s a shame that the show was canceled
Blood and Oil should definitely NOT be cancelled!!! A great series. Do not cancel!!
I Love this show, This is one of the best new shows on tv. It had you on the edge of your seat every week not knowing what was going to happen next. Very well written and produced. I hope another network will pick it up. They should have move it to a different day / time slot. This show was not given a fair chance and it definitely deserved it!!!
Don’t Cancel ……
Keep it on. It’s just getting interesting.
Please keep the show. Looking forward to season 2.
Come on ABC you have a winner in this show. Please reconsider ad give it a 2nd season to grow a even larger fan base.
