Fans of Blue Bloods can expect a lot more family dinner scenes at the Reagan household. CBS has just renewed the family police drama for a seventh season which will air as part of the 2016-17 television season.
A staple of Friday nights, Blue Bloods revolves around the Irish-American Reagan family and their work as part of the NYPD. The cast includes Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, Len Cariou, Amy Carlson, Sami Gayle, Vanessa Ray, Nicholas Turturro, and Marisa Ramirez.
The 17 episodes that have aired as part of the (current) sixth season have averaged a 1.24 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 10.57 million viewers.
That’s down slightly from last year’s averaged but Blue Bloods continues to do well for the network, especially considering its 10pm on Fridays timeslot. It’s currently CBS’ fourth most-watched scripted series (behind NCIS, The Big Bang Theory, and NCIS: New Orleans).
Today, the network announced 2016-17 season renewals of 10 other shows as well — 2 Broke Girls, The Amazing Race, Elementary, Hawaii Five-0, Madam Secretary, Mom, NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS: New Orleans, Scorpion, and Survivor.

Blue Bloods an informative,realistic action filled program that grabs one’s attention and keeps it the entire time. I am so thankful of the program’s writers and producers.
Blue Bloods should run as long as it holds a respectable market share. It is my favorite show. It’s like watching 1950’s tv, where morals are good and endings leave you feeling good.
One of the better shows on television. Currently, there aren’t very many that I will watch, but always make time to watch Blue Bloods. So nice to see a regular feel good series about cops and robbers, and the bad guys always go to jail. The cast is excellent, and play well together.. a good mix. Refreshing to see something that I can count on.. Reality, so to speak.. I am not into fantasy, science fiction, or most of the other garbage coming out.. It should be 15 season are more because it’s so good and maybe alot of love going on with Jamie and Eddie maybe the can have to identical twins girls on a season 11 if it is a season 11 and more family times and things happening to the family and a longer period of time one the family and with Jamie and Eddie
SO happy to know that we will have another season of Blue Bloods. It is the BEST reason to be home, safe, watching TV. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this show.

I can’t wait till blue bloods comeso back.. it should be on forever. It teaches a lot of morals especially to the middle school age children. Frank and Danny are great the entire cast are great actors. Please keep renewing it. It’s one of the good ones left.
Blue bloods is the only scripted show that I watch outside of law and order reruns…this show is good wholesome quality television!!!
I and my wife totally love the show,we watch it every Thursday on ion.cant get enough,wich they would show it more than once a week. We don’t have cable is why,but will be waiting for more episodes for sure.
