Bones ended its run on FOX last week, and the star of the series, Emily Deschanel, spoke about the series finale in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
The actress shared her thoughts on the finale and her favorite moments in it. She said the following:
“There are so many scenes leading up to the finale that got to me, and then scenes in the finale. The last scene with the squinterns — it was really special because I rarely get to see them all together. We’ve all had so many different times, just personally, off camera, and so many things have happened for all of them and for me over the course of working with them over so many years. Carla Gallo started tearing up, and then I started crying… My character is looking back and thanking them for everything all of their characters have done, so that was an emotional thing on camera and off, and it really allowed us to recognize the importance of that time. And it was the last scene I was going to film with them. My last scene shooting with our other regulars, like Tamara [Taylor] and Michaela and TJ, was just funny because it was just kind of a crisis situation, what we shot last. But the one saying goodbye to the squints, that really got to me.”
As for the show’s legacy, she wants fans to remember Bones in the following way:
“I would hope it’s remembered as the little show that could. It was a show that never got the attention of other shows, necessarily, but we went for so long, and our fans were so incredibly loyal.”

I love Bones, I never watched any other series like Bones. Dr. Temperance Brennan is a role model to me. I will continue to watch episodes from before. Sad to see it end.

Bones was the best . The only show I ever watched from start to finish
I missed the show for awhile. I was living where I didn’t have tv. Then, TNT started running it every day & I got hooked all over again. I’m sad to see it go but glad it will live on in reruns.
One of my favorite shows and I watch most of them: Criminal Minds (both) – the CSI’s – the Law & Orders – the “Chicagos” – but Bones is a favorite and I will miss it!

I going to miss Bones . the humor their story lines never got old .never knew what was coming. Bones she’s was something else. Reruns I’m there a too. Wish you’d make a new run off on them
I am soooo going to miss these wonderful people. They feel like family. I cannot begin to think of another show that I have enjoyed as much. I wish them all the best and lots of love.

I so love the show! Have watched it from the beginning. Bones and Booth and the rest are so real to life. Great acting, great plots! Very upset that it will not be on anymore!

I love watching bones I even got my husband hook on the show. It’s sad that it’s over wish they re-think and come back.
Because of Bones my granddaughter wants to go into ferensics. Never missed one show. Did disagree with the death of Vincent,Sweets and Max. These producers need to get over killing people that are leaving.
I’m so sad that Bones is over. Why they only had 12 episodes is a shame. It was a great show with great actors. The junk reality shows that are taking over is a shame.

I will that the show could be continued on TNT or CW because it it educational as well as entertaining. I felt like the characters were part of my family. I still get sad when I see a rerun with Sweets as I hated he had to die. Will continue to watch reruns and miss Bones’ weekly visit. Best wishes!
I am very sad to see the show end. There just aren’t very many shows that have the chemistry between the characters that they had. Gone miss them!!
