Earlier today, we reported that FOX had renewed Bones for a 12th and final season. Now, several of the series’ cast and crew have released statements regarding the show’s end.
Bones stars Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz as a married couple who solve crimes together.
Series creator Hart Hanson thanked the fans, crew, cast, and network in a statement posted by TVLine:
In times like these, marked by instability and doubt, it’s comforting to know the world can count on at least one dependable beacon of stability. Apparently, that beacon is Bones. It just shows what you can do with an amalgam of genius cast, amazing crew, cunning writers, stalwart studio, sweat, a tough economy, a mercurial network, determination, luck, magic, miracles and the most loyal audience in the world.”
Boreanaz, Deschanel, and co-showrunner Michael Peterson took to Twitter to personally thank the fans and everyone involved with the series. Take a look at their posts below:

What do you think? Are you a fan of Bones? Are you sad it see it go? What would you like to happen in the final season?
this is a great show to watch every week, great writing and great actors, this show should continue maybe another channel will pick up this show
I will watch Bones forever and ever
I’m glad Bones will be back for another season. It’s the only commercial show I like and respect enough to watch with my grand daughter. Otherwise I just watch PBS or CBC. I dislike raunchiness and coarseness; there’s no talent or cleverness to it, but it seems ever more prevalent on commercial TV. I like Bones because I know the only gross parts will be in the dead bodies the cast has to identify. I also like that the dead are treated with respect, which is not always the case on other detective shows. Finally, I like the respect for… Read more »
Thank Heaven for syndication… We can rewatch from the beginning thanks to reruns.
I will miss it, but I was just so happy it made it this many seasons! I will lovingly watch the final season and say goodbye.
Big fan of this tremendous show from the first episode. I will miss it greatly, but I’d rather see it go out while it’s still doing well than deteriorate and limp along until cancellation due to poor ratings. I hope the final season is a huge, exciting blow-out!
very good show it has had a good long run so i guess it was time to end it

Hate to see Bones go. It’s a great show with a great cast who all click together very well. Not many new shows can stand up to their quality! Will really miss it–am a faithful fan since the beginning!!!!
I’ve been a HUGE fan of Bones since it began, love the cast, stories, forensics, relationships, etc. There were parts, and some squints I didn’t care for, but in whole, it has been a MUST-SEE show for us. I still watch TNT repeats. Truth be told, I preferred the early seasons more so than then the last one or two, but I keep watching regardless. I love Angela & Hodgins, they made such a sweet and funny couple. My fave ep of them is when they had their baby, it was hilarious. I also enjoyed when B&B went undercover, esp… Read more »
