The alphabet network has renewed Sunday night drama Brothers & Sisters for a fifth season. As you may have heard, there are big changes in store for the TV show.
Brothers & Sisters revolves around the Walker family as they deal with their own personal dilemmas and run the family business, Ojai Foods. The ABC cast includes Calista Flockhart, Sally Field, Dave Annable, Emily VanCamp, Kerris Lilla Dorsey, Luke Grimes, Luke Macfarlane, Matthew Rhys, Maxwell Perry Cotton, Patricia Wettig, Rachel Griffiths, Rob Lowe, Ron Rifkin, and Balthazar Getty.
While the ratings this season are down from last year, the decrease isn’t dramatic (unlike most everything on the show). Last season, Brothers & Sisters averaged a 3.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 9.87 million viewers. So far, the ABC drama’s averaged a 3.0 in the demo and 9.23 million viewers.
The show’s now been renewed for a fifth season. No word on how many installments ABC will order but a full season of 22-24 episodes is expected.
However many episodes there are, they will likely be full of changes. Lowe is leaving the series later this season and Flockhart is supposedly going to be cutting back the number of episodes she’ll do. In addition, Gilles Marini, who plays the boyfriend of Sarah Walker (Griffiths), may become a series regular next season.

i love the show, waiting impatiently for season 5
Definitely a fan…totally love the show and can’t wait for Season 5. Unfortunately though, the episodes are always way behind here in Ireland…I ended up watching the most of it online just too keep up!!!
Looks like in the last Episode that Robert died in the car accident though?? Hopefully the story lines will be as good as season 4. Bring it on 😀

This show is such a great family night show, I don’t miss an episode if if by chance I do, I catch it online! This show keeps it real and we can all relate to one or more of the characters. It will be a sad day when you take it off the air. I can’t believe that Rob Lowe’s character has been killed off, this can’t be good for the show. Can you make it like a “Dallas” episode and make it all a dream, a bad dream??? 🙂
Get rid of the show. I have had enough of it. I did not watch last season. I was fed up with all the complaining and the drama queens (male and female).
Personally this show is my therapy. But, if you think that there are too many drama queens, than do one of two things… stop watching the show and leave it to everyone esle, or suggest that they get rid of all of the daytime soap operas- those shows have lots of drama queens (though i like a couple of the shows) and it takes 2 weeks for a single plot point to make a difference. I love the series of Brothers and Sisters, season 4 episode 24 was excellent I finish the episode with the a great desire to see what happens next. I am really glad there will be a season 5.
Love this show too. Please don’t cancel it. We’ll miss Rob terribly.

I absolutely LOVE this show and I cannot believe that Rob Lowe’s character got killed off. I hope this show does not get canceled. It would be a huge mistake!
