Of all of the networks, CBS has the most viewers. Unfortunately, their shows also tend to skew older. CBS tends to be the most tight-lipped of the networks so early news of renewals and cancellations doesn’t happen as often.
Here’s a listing of CBS TV shows with their current status. This list encompasses shows that have aired from July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010.
We’ll keep updating the list throughout the May upfronts when decisions are made about most of the shows’ fates. Keep checking back, especially if your favorite is still on the fence.

I agree with one of the other comments on canceling the reality shows and giving shows like Miami Medical and Three Rivers and Trauma a chance. I love Cold Case and watch all the reruns and I enjoy the Ghost Whisper and the shows that were on Wednesdays. If you want put the least likely to succeed shows on Fridays. I agree that there is nothing good to watch on Saturdays. The other network took off Eastwick in the middle and that is what you are doing with Cold Case & the Ghost Whisper. Reconsider, read all these comments and… Read more »
I hope CBS changes their mind about Ghost Whisperer. It’s the best Friday night series. It’s changed it’s original format some, but I still love it. What happened to Saturday, do the networks think no one watches television? Is that why there is not a single good program on for Saturday night. Some of us stay in!!
Just like Jericho and Moonlight the big execs at CBS do not listen to the viewers. How come no one ever polls me for my opinion??? Gary Unmarried is one of the funniest shows on tv. It is light hearted and just a great way to unwind and laugh for a change. I have also watched every episode of Ghost Whisperer since it started, what happens with the shadows??? you can just cancel a show that has been on for 5 years without wrapping it up, that sucks. It makes me not want to get involved in any other running… Read more »
All too often these networks cancel my favorite shows. I am a huge TV watcher. New New Adventures of Old Christine is one of my all time favorites. If networks stop changing the time slots/or days the shows air they might have a better chance. Not everyone is hooked up to a Nielsen box. CBS is making a mistake by canceling this show. How about getting rid of the reality shows. Amazing Race, Survivor etc. Hopefully ABC will pick it up but don’t put it on Fridays. Anything put on Fridays eventually gets canceled- Ghost Whisperer. ABC has canceled plenty… Read more »
I am seriously upset that New Adventures of Old Christine has been cancelled. That show is hilarious and one of a kind. CBS is making a big mistake in cancelling this show. I hope another network picks it up because I am a HUGE fan and so are all my friends.
I will miss Num3ers the most – what a great show – out of all the shows I hope this one goes to another network. I would rather see a shortened season than no season at all.
I feel like the only shows that continue to be renewed are the Mindless and senseless comedies or the staged real life series. The intellectually based shows or mentally intriguing are chopped for people under the age of 20.
I am so upset and honestly very sad to hear the news of all these cancellations. I love and look forward to Gary Unmarried, Old Christine, and Ghost Whisperer. After a long day of balancing work and family, these shows really give me a good sense of both peace and laughter. CBS should really rethink their decisions and be more sensitive to the viewers needs.
I will miss Ghost Whisperer and Cold Case. Two intelligent shows. Why do we need another Criminal Minds show. Isn’t one enough.
Disappointing that CBS is once again seeking to kick baby boomers in the teeth (they’ve done it before). We enjoyed Numbers, partially for the often interesting cases, but in greater part due to the solid acting and nice family dynamics. Too many of the comedies seem to play to the lowest common denominator…all audiences don’t enjoy crude or stupid humor! What happened to sophisticated, smart writing that doesn’t have to resort to the gutter? There are plenty of intelligent adults out there watching t.v. (and buying the sponsors’ products)!
i was a big fan of cold case and will miss it. the characters were intriguing. and i hate that it didn’t end in a resolution.
i was a ghost whisperer fan but now that everyone seems to know her ability it just got to convoluted. also having the kid made it less interesting for me. but the good years are in syndication.
christine. oh y?
I AM SICK ABOUT THIS!!! I DVR EVERYTHING I WATCH AND GARY UNMARRIED, NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE, ACCIDENTLY ON PURPOSE, AND GHOST WHISPER ARE MY CBS SHOWS…FRANKLY I CAN’T STAND CSI OR NCIS CRAP AND DON’T UNDERSTAND WHY THERE HAS TO BE CSI AND NCIS FOR SEVERAL DIFFERENT CITIES!!! LOOSE TWO CSI AND ON NCIS AND KEEP SOME OF THE OTHER SHOWS BEING CANCELLED!!! I GUESS ILL KEEP CBS FOR YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, BUT AS FOR PRIME TIME, ILL BE TURNING THE CHANNEL!!!!!
I enjoy Ghost Whisperer I hope they change their minds
PERSONALLY i NEVER WATCHED GHOST WHISPERER I DONT LIKE SHOWS LIKE THAT I PREFER GOOD FAMILY SHOWS OR SHOWS WITH A GOOD PLOT AND A POINT NOT AN ABSURD IDEA THAT YOU CAN TALK TO GHOSTS WHICH YOU CANT BY THE WAY AS THEY ARE DEAD
I’ll miss Cold Case the most
Just don’t understand why the good shows keep getting cancelled. If Ghost Whisperer doesn’t come back for a 6th season then we will never have a decent ending. When people have watched this show religiously for 5 years, WE AT LEAST DESERVE A PROPER FINALE. I hope NBC picks it up. CBS made a huge mistake cancelling he Guiding Light and Jericho. A lot of people own DVRs/TIVOs and are unable to watch tv live. If that is how these shows are rated and why shows are cancelled then he Neilson family needs to find another way to see what… Read more »
