Fans won’t be seeing what happens to Olivia Lockhart in a fourth season of Cedar Cove. Hallmark Channel has cancelled their first scripted TV show after three seasons and 36 episodes.
Cedar Cove revolves around Olive (Andie MacDowell), a single mother from a small seaside community who’s also a municipal court judge. Olivia does her best to balance her career with family and finding love — all the while doing her best to care for the township she calls home. The rest of the cast includes Dylan Neal, Teryl Rothery, Sarah Smyth, Colin Ferguson, Bruce Boxleitner, Barbara Niven, Brennan Elliot, Corey Sevier, Sebastian Spence, Tom Stevens, Jesse Hutch, Jesse Moss, Emily Tennant, and Timothy Webber.
Hallmark’s first scripted TV series debuted in July 2013 to 2.62 million viewers. Though the TV show lasted three seasons, the ratings dropped each year. The first season of Cedar Cove averaged about two million viewers. The second season averaged 1.87 million and the third season averaged 1.67 million.
The cable channel announced the cancellation on their Facebook page. Here’s the statement:

My favorite Hallmark show; I never missed an episode. My favorite channel is/was the Hallmark channel, but I find myself watching less and less. This is one example of why.
I really enjoy Cedar Cove and look forward when the new seasons come on Netflix. I am disappointed to find out it has been cancelled. There are so many unanswered questions. I would look forward to a season 4. thank you
I’m baffled that they would just leave us hanging with no questions answered. Make a movie to follow up! Finish it out it’s like reading a book and never getting to the end! I love this show a good clean show that just makes me smile! Please bring it back!
I have been waiting and expecting to see the next series of Cedar Cove. Finally, today, I am on the internet trying to figure out when it starts again so I won’t miss it. I have looked forward to it the last few years and am sooooo disappointed that it has been cancelled. The quality of this show is outstanding and I have recommended it to friends.
This is why I give up on TV you fall in love with a good show and they take it off to put on crap.
Please at least make a movie or two to answer the lingering questions the series produced

Yes it needs to be retuned. I have never watched a series like this before & have turly enjoyed it. I didn’t like how it ended with unanswered questions!
Please do one more season.. The way you ended was terrible and it left me hanging. I don’t have this channel or else I would have watched it but I loved watching it on Netflix.
I am so disappointed that there will not be a season 4 of Cedar Cove…I have been waiting eagerly for the new season… Cedar Cove gave viewers a wonderful alternative to other offerings on TV …..What is wrong with 1.67 million viewers… seems like a fine audience to me… Please bring back Cedar Cove.

We loved cedar cove..we couldn’t wait till it was on each week. We are very sad that it will not finish. It’s not nice to leave us hanging like that.
