NBC has had a lot of success with Dick Wolf’s Chicago franchise these past few years. But what about the newest spin-off, Chicago Justice? Are you watching the TV series? Should it be cancelled or renewed? If renewed, would you watch season two?
The legal drama centers on Peter Stone (Philip Winchester), the dogged Deputy Chief of the Special Prosecutions Bureau, and follows the other prosecutors and investigators who make up the State’s Attorney’s team. The cast also includes Carl Weathers, Monica Barbaro, Joelle Carter, and Jon Seda.
Ratings haven’t been terrible for Chicago Justice, but they haven’t been great either. Overall, season one earned an average rating of 1.13 in the 18-49 demo and 6.20 million viewers. The numbers are decent for NBC, but they do make Chicago Justice the lowest-rated series in the Chicago franchise.
Still, chances are NBC will renew the show because the Chicago shows are successful as a whole brand.
What do you think? Have you seen Chicago Justice? Should it be cancelled or do you want a second season? Would you watch?
I am watching, but do not find it as compelling as the other Chicago shows.
I enjoy the show particularly the awkwardness between the Deputy Chief and the States Attorney Carl Weathers. The character I truly dislike is the girl prosecutor. Always banging on about being a vegetarian and other leather sandal and lentil brigade issues. Less of the agenda driven dialogue please. Otherwise good show.
Please renew Justice. It’s well acted and has good stories.
Please keep Chicago Justice!! I really enjoy it. Very entertaining.
Love all the Chicago series, including Justice. Good acting, believable characters and good stories. Keep ’em coming. Please.
Please renew it. I watch all 4 of the Chicago shows, but the network is not interested in my 68 yr old viewpoint….they only worry about 18 to 49 year olds views. It is a good show.
Please continue showing .along with code black.
great show. continue airing.
ID LIKE TO SEE IMPROVED WRITING. SO FAR ITS A MODERN DAY PERRY MASON EVERY WEEK WHERE A WITNESS BREAKS DOWN AND CONFESSES AT THE END TO SLAVAGE A WIN FOR THE GOOD GUYS. ACTING IS GOOD THOUGH.
I loved Law and Order and I love Chicago Justice. I tape each episode. It is uplifting to watch a show with good ethics, acting and not too violent. I would be very disappointed if this show is not renewed.
I’m not saying it’s a bad show or judge it to be worthy of renewal. I watch the other 3 Chicago shows but I am just not into law shows. I didn’t care for L&O either. But, as long as enough viewers like it, that’s the important part For those who ARE fans, then for their sake, I hope it IS renewed.
I enjoy watching Chicago Justice, The stories are really good, the
characters are good, and I love that it takes place in Chicago!
I love the show if I’m not home when it comes on I make sure to record it. Can’t miss an episode of it!!!
I would watch it for a second season. I believe the stories are good, and this series has some of the best actors- like Carl Weathers! Plus, I like that the lead character is former Law & Order’s D.A. Ben Stone’s son.
This is certainly our favorite of the series. Hope to see it this next season!
