In the past year, TBS cancelled several of their existing sitcoms. The cable channel has also been struggling to find a hit. Will Clipped be the answer to their prayers and be a ratings success? Will it be renewed for a second season or, will it be cancelled instead? Stay tuned.
On Clipped, a group of very different young people who all went to high school together (but ran in very different crowds) end up working in the same barbershop in Charleston, Mass. The cast includes Ashley Tisdale, Mike Castle, Matt Cook, Lauren Lapkus, Ryan Pinkston, Diona Reasonover, and George Wendt.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
10/23 update: TBS has cancelled this sitcom after one season. Details here.
Final season averages: 0.45 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.22 million total viewers.

What do you think? Do you like the Clipped TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
I don’t hate the show, but I would be very surprised if TBS renews it based on the low ratings and the hate it’s getting. Despite most of the lines being corny and unfunny, the predictability and cliches, and too many fake heavy Boston accents, I think this show has potential (the premise itself sounds interesting) and it could be a great show if they get rid of Ben and Mo’s accents, come up with clever and genuinely funny jokes without trying too hard, and more original storylines that develop properly. When TBS cancels this show it would be nice… Read more »
Why does TBS even bother trying to do sitcoms? They always turn out to be terrible.
This show keeps getting better! Hope TBS keeps it on for more than one season, really starting to like it 🙂
I love the show and the diversity and the sarcasm. It’s just enough sarcasm to know what is being said and does not offend.
Fun Show. Mo and Lonnie are the best two characters! Why doesn’t Ashley have a Boston accent?
Watched the pilot and the next episode. If there is any hope for TBS finding a new hit show it will start by canceling this Horrid excuse for a show. Did not laugh or even crack a smile once, every joke is unoriginal or just painfully flat. The plot has very little going for it and the material is so stereotypical that it’s close to insulting.
This show is fantastic! TBS should renew it, the episodes have gotten better every week. And the cast is actually really funny and grounded in reality.
My wife and I just watched episode 1 and 2. We think that this show is funny. We can’t wait to see more. Ashley and the rest of the cast are great.
Cancel it, total garbage and not funny. Cast looks like they had an open invitation to see who would show up and be part of the it. End it.
Funny show and great cast. It should be renewed. The networks often don’t give new shows enough time .
I’m starting to like this show! It’s actually funny and the actors are doing a pretty good job! The episodes’ plot so far could be better but the show has some potential…
I like the Clipped pilot… Looks like the demo went up in the 2nd episode too.
Clipped should be cancelled, it sucks. Poor script, poor racist gay and idiotic dialogue. Just pull the plug, and save TBS. I normally enjoy TBS programs but with with shows as horrible as Clipped I might just see what else is on.
If it were my decision I’d probably renew it for half a season just to give it another chance, but I highly doubt it will get renewed. If that happens I really hope they get rid of the guys’ heavy Boston accents or at least make them more subtle. Just because it takes place in Boston it doesn’t mean the main characters need a heavy accent! It’s fine if the minor recurring characters like the Doyle sisters have accents but the main characters having accents is so unnecessary. I feel like the only people who actually like this show are… Read more »
Clipped should be cancelled. With the exception of Ashley Tisdale and the African American woman, the rest of the characters are terrible. Hate the Boston accents. I am also tired of every new show having a pair of gay men. A pair of gay women or a bisexual pair of women would be a nice change.
