Could Code Black make a comeback after all? According to The Hollywood Reporter, CBS is considering renewing the cancelled TV show.
As reported earlier, the network cancelled the medical drama this year after three seasons. The cast includes Marcia Gay Harden, Luis Guzmán, Boris Kodjoe, Harry Ford, Benjamin Hollingsworth, William Allen Young, Emily Tyra, Noah Gray-Cabey, Emily Alyn Lind, Moon Bloodgood, and Rob Lowe.
During this summer’s TCA press conference, CBS Entertainment chief Kelly Kahl revealed the network is figuring out how to do a fourth season of Code Black:
It’s doing incredibly well. It’s a well-done show. We’d like to figure out a way to maybe make it work.”
While nothing final has been decided, Kahl did say CBS is looking into another season.

NEVER SHOULD HAVE BEEN CANCELLED IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! Lowe is right, here’s a show with impressive ratings and CBS cancels? Some business model!!! They need to replace the jerks at CBS who head programming – oh wait, Moonves should be out due to sexual harassment complaints but the “New Guy” is defending the CBS culture. Really? No wonder they’re screwed! Just bring back Code Black – it’s a WINNER!

DEFINATELY WOULD WATCH!! Made it a point to clear my nites when this was on. Told the kiddos I WAS WATCHING IT NO MATTER WHAT else was on!!
Oh yes, I would definitely watch another season (or three) of Code Black. One of the best medical series on TV, past or present! Bring it back, pretty please!!!

ABSOLUTELY for more seasonS of Code Black. I love that program. Don’t know why you wanted to cancel it in the first place. It depicts the ER in hospital, with one exception, family members are now allowed in that area in real hospitals, but it makes the show that much more interesting. It shows feelings of medical staff and the trauma they go through dealing with emergencies, things people don’t even consider when they “rag” on ER staff not doing enough. I have been a big fan of Code Black since the very first show back in season one. It keeps one interest going and is areal life setting for a Medical drama series. They get 2 thumbs up for my vote!
Please bring Code Black back, very entertaining, love the characters…..
