TV show description:
This gritty medical drama revolves around an Emergency Room in Los Angeles where underfunding and understaffing pile huge pressure on its staff. A “code black” is issued when the ER no longer has the manpower, capacity or equipment to operate effectively.
Doctor Leanne Rorish (Marcia Gay Harden) is the ER Residency Director. She’s a brilliant doctor and an experienced professional who often has to resort to her intuition as opposed to standard medical procedures in order to save lives. She reminds her staff that life is measured in split seconds and a moment of hesitation can be the difference between life and death.
On the flip side to Leanne’s risk-taking is Doctor Neal Hudson (Raza Jaffrey) who is constantly at odds with her cavalier attitude.
Leanne’s confidante is Senior Nurse Jesse Salander (Luis Guzman) who’s seen it all at the country’s most notorious ER. His job is to manage the residents. Like the other technicians, doctors and nurses, he is facing a daily battle to save lives under immense pressure.
Mario Savetti (Benjamin Hollingsworth), Christa Lorenson (Bonnie Somerville), Angus Leighton (Harry Ford) and Malaya Pineda (Melanie Chandra) are all first-year residents coming to terms with the harsh realities of their chosen profession.
Episode #47 — Business of Saving Lives
Angels Memorial descends into chaos when a plane crashes into the eighth floor. Also, it is up to Mario to save Noa’s life when she has a car accident. In addition, Willis admits to Rox that he needs her in his life, and the doctors gather in court to support Leanne for her custody hearing.
First aired: July 18. 2018.
What do you think? Do you like the Code Black TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for season four on CBS?

Please don’t cancel Code Black. It’s one of the few great shows on tv. Great cast of characters and the actors are excellent. So sick of reality tv and other shows that require little brain activity.
Please do not cancel this show. I have never written any tv show before for anything, but, I feel so strongly about the possibility of cancelling this show. It is the one show that I can sit down to watch and immediately forget anything else going on around me and get so involved in the show and the characters and storyline. Please do not cancel this program. there are so many good shows being cancelled and being replaced with nothing! I do not want anymore fake lawyers shows or comedies that are not funny at all. I sure hope you… Read more »

This is such a good show. PLEASE, do not cancel. I am going to have to stop watching American shows and just watch British Drama….. all that will be on American TV, will be reality and comedy, shows. Sad!
My fave medical drama after Night Shift also being cancelled. Cannot understand how such a gritty drama was cast aside like this when the comments here show there was such a good fanbase for it. I guess it’s not possible for another network to pick it up but would love to wake one morning and read it’s been given another shot.
It should definitely be renewed.
Great adult drama show. Please reconsider.
so so sad. i love this show so much. i am like so many others here saying im sick and tired of all the reality shows. they always cancel the good ones.
Amen!! I can not stand reality shows.
Code Black is one of the best show on right now. I could not believe it when I heard it was being cancelled. Very disappointed in CBS. I wish they would reconsider.
Exceptionally well acted series, superlatively written with characters well defined. Cannot understand why the network would cancel the program. Far superior to much (if not most) of the nonsense, drivel, and nitwittiness on the air these days.
Why do they cancel this and leave on the “alien virus” and stupid “comedies? Too many dating, engagement, wedding shows. Boring. And too many “reality” shows.
So TRUE!
Please don’t cancel such a good show
