TV show description:
This gritty medical drama revolves around an Emergency Room in Los Angeles where underfunding and understaffing pile huge pressure on its staff. A “code black” is issued when the ER no longer has the manpower, capacity or equipment to operate effectively.
Doctor Leanne Rorish (Marcia Gay Harden) is the ER Residency Director. She’s a brilliant doctor and an experienced professional who often has to resort to her intuition as opposed to standard medical procedures in order to save lives. She reminds her staff that life is measured in split seconds and a moment of hesitation can be the difference between life and death.
On the flip side to Leanne’s risk-taking is Doctor Neal Hudson (Raza Jaffrey) who is constantly at odds with her cavalier attitude.
Leanne’s confidante is Senior Nurse Jesse Salander (Luis Guzman) who’s seen it all at the country’s most notorious ER. His job is to manage the residents. Like the other technicians, doctors and nurses, he is facing a daily battle to save lives under immense pressure.
Mario Savetti (Benjamin Hollingsworth), Christa Lorenson (Bonnie Somerville), Angus Leighton (Harry Ford) and Malaya Pineda (Melanie Chandra) are all first-year residents coming to terms with the harsh realities of their chosen profession.
Episode #47 — Business of Saving Lives
Angels Memorial descends into chaos when a plane crashes into the eighth floor. Also, it is up to Mario to save Noa’s life when she has a car accident. In addition, Willis admits to Rox that he needs her in his life, and the doctors gather in court to support Leanne for her custody hearing.
First aired: July 18. 2018.
What do you think? Do you like the Code Black TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for season four on CBS?
I hate that this show was cancelled! Not everyone wants to watch sit coms I am mad aty cbs for not having any taste~ Come on Netflix pick it up!
And again, the networks cancel one of the best shows on TV!! It makes you not want to watch a show until after they cancel it so you can binge watch. SMH!!
I look forward to seeing this Show. I have it set to record so I don’t miss an episode. Please Please Please don’t cancel. If you have to get rid of something, get rid of Family Guy; so offensive.
Never miss this show. Love it..I cant understand it being cancelled. Tired of all the game and reality shows that keep popping up.
This is such a good show , wish it wouldn’t of been canceled .
Please keep the show going.
Really sad to hear that Code Black has been Cancelled. We watch it every week. Maybe it would do better in a different time slot.
I LOVE THIS SHOW!!
why, can’t you try to find a different time slot, or a different day. instead of cancelling a good show, which is not a reality show.
I can’t believe your cancelling Code Black whyw. this is such a good show. my wife and I watch it every week and when we can’t we record it so we don’t miss an episode.
this was the best medical show since ER.. Love the characters they are strong yet at times show their humanity. Keep this on the air it’s an original.
Love, love this show. Please do not take this off the air! I would love to know who the idiots are that rate all these wonderful shows? My suggestion… do not listen to any of them. You keep taking all the wonderful shows, that everyone loves, off the air. Where are you getting these ratings from?
I cannot believe that Code Black is cancelled. Why do the networks always cancel great shows? This is another mistake by the network.
Love this show. Please do not take it away. The best show on TV right now.
I was not aware that Code Black was cancelled! I could NOT believe when I heard it was the SERIES finale! We love this show. Please, do not cancel it. We love the cast and the stories. I am going to miss it so much.
I wonder the same thing. This is my favorite show. I always watch it and never missed an episode. There are many terrible shows that they leave on but took away my favorite. I can’t get a straight answer anywhere as to why this show was taken away. I am not happy at all.
