What’s This TV Show About?
A USA Network sci-fi drama, Colony stars Josh Holloway, Sarah Wayne Callies, Tory Kittles, Peter Jacobson, and Alex Neustaedter. The story unfolds in the near-future, in a world where citizens are under military occupation by the Colony Transitional Authority, as part of a larger extraterrestrial invasion. Former FBI agent Will Bowman (Holloway) and wife Katie (Callies) were raising their daughter and two sons in Los Angeles, but were separated from the younger boy during the invasion and pulled out all the stops to get him back. The third season kicks off six months after the season two finale, with Will and Katie rebuilding their family in the world beyond the walls. They soon begin a journey during which they’ll uncover the truth behind the occupation. Once again, this family will find themselves having to choose sides.
Season Three Ratings
The third season of Colony averaged a 0.16 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 665,000 viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 37% and 18%, respectively. Check out how Colony stacks up against other USA Network TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Will Colony cancel or renew Colony for season four? The ratings are way down once again. USA could renew it (they’ve renewed lower-rated shows) but I suspect that Colony is expensive so it will be cancelled instead. No, No, No they should NOT cancel Colony! This is one of the best TV shows on television.
Don’t they dare to cancel. want to see outliers defending the earth from aliens. renew it please.. the network should play it on good times to generate viewers..

How can this show have any ratings when they never play it. USA will play Law and Order for weeks at a time all day long and Wednesday Colony for an hour. What is up with this station. Their best show and there is talk of cancelation? Wow
Why is it the CW allow their shows to generate a solid fan base and the other networks get ride of their sci fi shows while they still have growing pains. I don’t understand it.
Colony just seems to get better with each episode although I have enjoyed all of them!
I always look forward to what Snyder is up next as well as what is happening with the Bowman’s & Broussard.
I am typically not a Sy- Fi fan but Colony has managed to get me hooked!

Colony’s just getting better and better. I was worried it was going to get “stale” like so many other shows do, but season 3 has had me on the edge of my seat from episode 1. Let’s hope they keep it going.

Colony has lost my interest. Unfortunately, I won’t be surprised if it gets cancelled after this season (S3) The first couple episodes on S3 left me on the edge of my seat, but reached its peak after they escaped the camp.
Yes, this is an amazing show and if they promoted it a little more, people fall for it like I have. This is my most favorite TV in years and I really would like to see how Season 4 plays out? Maybe the ScyFy Channel should pick it up or Netflix. I think it would be one of Netflix highest rated show with the way they push Lost in Space. I guess we’ll know soon enough as the last show of the season is close…that all said, it would be a shame to see it cancelled…
I hope they continue with a new season, it’s a great show and season 3 is building up to an awesome season ending episode…great storyline and the characters are excellent!!
If USA cancels this show, then they’ve pretty much killed every original show that i am interested in on their network (outside of SVU re-runs), so basically that’ll all but confirm that I’ll stop watching their network all together. If they want better ratings then they should think about promoting the show with an amazing tool called advertising instead of leaving the show off of their channel for over a year in between seasons, and expecting people to telepathically know that new episodes are going to air. I totally agree. I didn’t even know that season 3 had irked until the fourth current episode.
I’m from South Africa and I absolutely love this series…there is so much rubbish on TV and poor acting…love Sneider…such a big heart but caught in the middle…I would prefer it though if there were no bedroom scences then young people could also watch. Please bring season 4 soon…getting withdrawal symptoms!!!
Agreed! Another thing, being off the air for over a year was a bummer! We had to wait for what seemed like forever & then there wasn’t any info on it’s return until like what seemed like the week of the return on your network! If we wouldn’t be followers of the cast on their social media platforms, we would have never known of it’s return or the date of return! Get off of your behinds USA and promote your shows!
