Criminal Minds fans had some potentially bad news this week. It appears that a previously announced revival of the series may not be moving forward at Paramount+.
Paget Brewster, who appeared on the drama as FBI agent Emily Prentiss, responded to a question about the revival with a tweet that makes it sound the series is not moving forward.
No, and sadly, we think it’s dead.I’ll let you know if there is any progress but it seems unlikely. Which is a bummer.

However, Variety reports that a source close to the development of the revival revealed to them that the series is still in active development. It’s difficult to know which statement is accurate.
Criminal Minds aired for fifteen seasons on CBS. Paramount+ officially announced the revival in February. It was described this way in a large press release about the streaming service’s upcoming exclusive programming:
Criminal Minds – top rated series in broadcast and streaming returns with a new scripted series that brings the team back together to investigate a single, fascinating case over 10 episodes.

My husband and I both loved Criminal Minds and miss it terribly. Would love to see it come back. I am sure that there is plenty of material (criminal) out there to continue this forever (unfortunately).
I loved Criminal Minds. It was the best. Unfortunately I do not get Paramount and wouldn’t be able to watch it. Bring it back CBS. That’s my wish.

If this had been revived, I probably would’ve given in and paid for paramount +, but so far I haven’t seen anything worth paying for my tv by the channel!
Bring it back original cast minus Gidion
Some shows can last forever and this is one of them. Excellent characters and intense writing with bits of humor thrown in. PLEASE bring it back!!
We’d so love to see a revival .. watched all the originals and then reruns on the PVR. Fingers crossed!!
It would be great if they could revive this show! One of my favorites! Some shows seem to run out of content after 15 years/seasons, but look at Law & Order SVU – headed for 25 years/seasons!! If some of the characters don’t make it back on the revival, that’s ok. I think if even only one or two of the original cast stayed on it could be successful. Fingers crossed and I’d definitely watch it!!
Criminal minds was one of my favorite shows. I hated to see it go, through all of the changes in cast I held on. Please bring it back with the OG!
