France’s TF1 and Sony Pictures Television Networks have renewed Crossing Lines for a second season.
There will be 12 episodes this time around (vs 10 episodes in season one) and production will begin on September 22nd. Locations will include France, the Czech Republic, Monte Carlo and Bulgaria.
Regulars William Fichtner, Donald Sutherland, Marc Lavoine, Tom Wlaschiha, Gabriella Pession and Richard Flood will all return, along with Lara Rossi, who was introduced late in the first season. Guest stars will include Carrie-Anne Moss and Ray Stevenson.
Crossing Lines has been very popular internationally, airing in over 180 territories. It hasn’t been a big hit here in the states however.
NBC aired the series on Sunday nights this summer to poor ratings. The season finale registered just a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.06 million viewers — series lows.
The peacock network says that they haven’t made a decision on the future of the show on NBC. Unfortunately, based on the ratings, there’d be little incentive to license season two of Crossing Lines.
If they don’t pick it up, the show could find a US home on a cable channel, possibly one that’s owned by NBC-Universal like USA Network. Merlin underperformed on NBC in its first year so it was moved to Syfy for the later four seasons.
What do you think? Should NBC pick up season two of Crossing Lines or cancel the low-rated series instead? Would you watch it on a cable channel like USA?
Please please don’t cancel ” CROSSING LINES “
Plz renew NBC…. I’m disabled and on income only have a few channels… really like this show!!!!!
I enjoyed Crossing Lines and I am hoping that it returns soon.
Have watched the complete 1st season on Netflix thought it was Great!! Really hoping Season 2 starts soon.
My wife and I watched season 1 on Netflix. We really enjoyed the show. I hope season 2 will be picked up in the U.S.
I watched the first season LIVE last summer and thoroughly enjoyed it. I just did a search to see if it had been renewed since it is summer time again. Didn’t know it had been moved to Netflix, and definitely hope it’s picked up by another network. Why oh why do all of the great shows get cancelled when all the crap TV gets renewed? IT IS SO FRUSTRATING AS A VIEWER!!!
I had never heard of Crossing Lines until I saw it on NetFlix. I just watched the entire season 1 over the last 2 days. I cannot wait to see season 2!
Just finished season 1 on Netflix, really hope NBC picks up Season #2!!!
I will watch this whenever, wherever…one of the best shows in years.
Caught it on Netflix and cannot wait for the next season> Will definitely watch on whatever channel it is aired
great show, great acting, you don’t find that very often. Each person was given enough time without actually hogging the spot. I love that it’s set in other countries too. You can only watch so many shows in Vegas, La, New York, Detroit, Chicago……….not that they aren’t good, but to see other countries is pretty cool. A nice change of pace if you ask me.
anxiously awaiting the 2nd season of Crossing Lines…when?
I guess it makes sense not to renew it! After all, it’s one of the BEST shows on TV.
Just finished watching the 10-episodes series of Crossing Lines” on NetFlix and my husband and I enjoyed it tremendously. We look forward to Season 2!!
We really enjoyed the series which we watched in its entirety on Netflix. We would like to see the series continue and could watch either on USA network or Netflix. Thank you
