This will be the first full season of Dallas without Larry Hagman’s JR Ewing. Can the cast and producers continue to draw viewers and solid ratings without their quintessential bad guy? Will the new Dallas be cancelled or renewed for a fourth season? Stay tuned to find out.
Airing on Monday nights, Dallas continues to follow the machinations of the dysfunctional and powerful Ewing clan. The cast includes Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, Jordana Brewster, Julie Gonzalo, Brenda Strong, Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, Mitch Pileggi, Emma Bell, Kuno Becker, and Juan Pablo Di Pace.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
Final season averages: 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.92 million total viewers.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Reference point: The second season of the new Dallas averaged a 0.8 demo rating and 2.67 million viewers.
Cable ratings are typically released within a day or so of the show’s airing, except for in the case of weekends and holidays. They are sometimes harder to come by so there may be occasional delays or gaps.
What do you think? Do you still like the Dallas series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a fourth season?
Update: TNT has cancelled Dallas after three seasons. Details here.
Dallas was my favorite show. That was really rude to pull it.
Too bad such a great show like Dallas gets cancelled. It would be among the best shows on TV if TNT hadn’t cancelled it. I just can’t understand why they did that. Such a great show. I wish it would return.
They still can’t make a better series than Dallas. Any way you look at it, losing the fans of this show is a big deal. A very big deal indeed. It was real nonsense to cancel Dallas. I wish it would return.
Blood and Oil isn’t Dallas. Although quite watchable, it hasn’t built up the characters enough yet. Maybe in time it will. But Dallas is the real thing. I wish the networks would realize this.
Any network stupid enough to cancel Dallas is probably too stupid to bring it back. So…another network, hopefully, will be it’s savior. This I hope. Dallas was the best.
I personally will truly miss this show. How Mr Larry Hagman left the show knowing that he would not be returning was classy and touching at the same time.
I thought the show was awesome and would love to see the reruns of this show.
You’d think TNT would have realized by now their mistake in cancelling Dallas. It must be awful to realize how stupid you are to do that. I hope they learn from this. But I especially hope another network…one with brains… will revive Dallas. We want it back.
It just gripes me that they keep dumb shows on and cancel Dallas. They have no idea what we want to watch. They seem to go by numbers of data and don’t have a clue what’s going on.
These programmers must live in a cave somewhere and never get out to see anyone.
Dallas was the best. I would love to see it back.
Dallas would be welcomed back by millions if it were returned to TV. Please bring it back…or at least make a few Dallas movies like they used to do.
So Cynthia Cidre is an executive producer for ABC;s copy cat show “Blood and Oil”. Dallas
fans: I know you feel just like I do, right about now!!! How dare she but as usual we fans are left out! Blood and Oil will never last! Bring back DALLAS!!!!!!!!
Why don’t you bring Dallas back?…it was the best show on TV. We all miss it so much.
Still …Dallas is the best show. It shouldn’t have been cancelled. You should realize this and put it back on TV.
Still …Dallas is the best show. It shouldn’t have been cancelled. You should realize this and put it back on.

Only people not working watch TNT’s shows now. At least when Dallas was on, you had people that worked for a living watching those ads. It’ll never be a good as it was when Dallas was on. So sad.
