This will be the first full season of Dallas without Larry Hagman’s JR Ewing. Can the cast and producers continue to draw viewers and solid ratings without their quintessential bad guy? Will the new Dallas be cancelled or renewed for a fourth season? Stay tuned to find out.
Airing on Monday nights, Dallas continues to follow the machinations of the dysfunctional and powerful Ewing clan. The cast includes Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, Jordana Brewster, Julie Gonzalo, Brenda Strong, Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, Mitch Pileggi, Emma Bell, Kuno Becker, and Juan Pablo Di Pace.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
Final season averages: 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.92 million total viewers.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Reference point: The second season of the new Dallas averaged a 0.8 demo rating and 2.67 million viewers.
Cable ratings are typically released within a day or so of the show’s airing, except for in the case of weekends and holidays. They are sometimes harder to come by so there may be occasional delays or gaps.
What do you think? Do you still like the Dallas series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a fourth season?
Update: TNT has cancelled Dallas after three seasons. Details here.
I want Dallas back! This stupid game they’re playing with the ratings is ridiculous. Everyone knows what a great show Dallas is. They’re missing a big boat here. The loss of this great show is such a crime.
Yes Dallas would blow the others right out of the water. Nice try with B&O. But the king of anti-hero rich guy night soaps is Dallas. It had it all. I wish it would come back.
After all this time, still no Dallas! ABC has copycat Blood & Oil, Fox has Empire! CBS please bring Dallas back home to its fans & your network! Then sit back and watch how your blow all the others out of the water!!!!
Shows like Dallas are needed because they are of high quality, with a great cast and people love to watch this kind of show. Dallas has been the king Daddy of shows. I wish it were back on.
I can’t understand why they cancel a great show like Dallas and let stupid, lesser quality shows stay on. This advertising driven world seems to control our lives. This is the future folks.
If we don’t fit their profile …they don’t need you.
I wish that Dallas would return to TV. So many people I talk to feel the same. Everyone misses this show. They had the right characters and story line. This perfect combination couldn’t be duplicated in a million years.
Dallas was the best show. I just can’t believe it’s gone. That’s a real crime for cancelling my favorite show. This proves that TV execs are insane.
Why they cancelled Dallas…I’ll never figure that out. It was the best show on TV. What a boner that was. TNT’s TV execs must live in a cave.
Lets start a petition to see if the network “TVLAND” will pickup Dallas. They are looking for some good shows, and if you [place Dallas in the right time slot, it will be a winner again.

Why did they do such an awful thing in cancelling my favorite show Dallas? Man, that was a crummy deal. Best show ever. Bummed out by this.
I wish Dallas would return. That was such a punk thing to cancel it.
Dallas was the best. It should not have been cancelled. The person responsible for this should be fired.
TNT, you really know how to mess up the TV shows. Cancelling Dallas was a very bad decision. You may never recover from all the bad vibes you sent.
The way TNT cancelled Dallas was very flawed. The people who watched this show were very loyal and many. TNT just wanted out of this viewership. They are tanking in ratings because of this. Very wrong decision to cancel Dallas.
When you cancel a great show like Dallas, there’s a big vacuum. And that sucks…
