This will be the first full season of Dallas without Larry Hagman’s JR Ewing. Can the cast and producers continue to draw viewers and solid ratings without their quintessential bad guy? Will the new Dallas be cancelled or renewed for a fourth season? Stay tuned to find out.
Airing on Monday nights, Dallas continues to follow the machinations of the dysfunctional and powerful Ewing clan. The cast includes Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, Jordana Brewster, Julie Gonzalo, Brenda Strong, Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, Mitch Pileggi, Emma Bell, Kuno Becker, and Juan Pablo Di Pace.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
Final season averages: 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.92 million total viewers.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Reference point: The second season of the new Dallas averaged a 0.8 demo rating and 2.67 million viewers.
Cable ratings are typically released within a day or so of the show’s airing, except for in the case of weekends and holidays. They are sometimes harder to come by so there may be occasional delays or gaps.
What do you think? Do you still like the Dallas series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a fourth season?
Update: TNT has cancelled Dallas after three seasons. Details here.
Cold winter and no Dallas. This is sad. It would be better if Dallas was still on. Please bring it back.
I wish they’d bring back Dallas. That would be a great Christmas present to the fans. C’mon this is a great show, you know it is.
It would be a nice holiday gesture to renew Dallas. Or at least have a TV special or something. We, all of us, miss this show.
Still have the Dallas theme running around in my head. Would be happier if it were on TV to watch.
Another week of bad TV. Bring back Dallas so we could have something good to watch.
Dallas is still better than these new shows that are supposed to attract millennials. Millennials…a real bunch of spenders eh?. They can’t spend if they don’t work. Bring back Dallas. These viewers have incomes.
Can’t they do better than cancelling Dallas? I mean, has TV improved any? I think not.
Let’s bring back a quality show. Bring back Dallas. My favorite show.
I don’t know what’s in those advertising guy’s heads except greed and ignorance. But we’re all missing Dallas. This is a real bummer. I’ve never missed a show this much. Please bring back Dallas.
Can’t think of a better show to watch than Dallas. The beginning theme is in my head. Can’t ever forget what a great show that was. I wish it could come back. Let’s bring it back, OK?
Must we watch these horrible reality shows? Is this the price we have to pay for being senior citizens? Can’t they put back shows like Dallas? These advertising sharpies think they know how to squeeze a buck. In doing so, they really mess with what’s good on TV and mess it up big time.
They make TV a wasteland of non-renewing shows that no one can keep allegiance to. You take Dallas and B&O…great shows…and the Ad boys kill them off. What a crying shame.
Still fuming over B&O being cancelled. What the heck is wrong with these people? They don’t know a good thing when they have it. Their data is flawed immensely. Dallas was screwed over by these idiots as well. Bring them both back. B&O and Dallas!
B&O cancelled too??? C’mon. This is real BS. That some punky advertising bum concludes that these shows don’t sell enough commercials is complete BSSSS. From what I read, there is real disorder and flack coming from ABC. This ratty network is as bad as TNT. I bet the same punks who did this work at both places.
Hey, c’mon, they cancelled B&O. Now put back Dallas. Those idiots who monitor ratings must have gotten an F in High School math. Only a moron would conclude that no one watches these great shows like Dallas. It’s unbelievable that they target these shows and don’t even look at the reality shows ratings. No one watches the reality shows…they’re like commercials they’re so bad. TV has gone bananas. TV has probably seen it’s last boom. Something will replace this BS. Has to.
Don’t dilly dally with TV. Bring back Dallas. It’s the one everyone watches. And the ones who watched it had jobs. Do the math, Bozos.
TV has got to do better than cancelling Dallas and putting up reality shows. C;mon, are these shows 1/10 of what Dallas was? Not even close. They’re not even worth fast forwarding. Put back the best show…put back Dallas.
