It’s the end of the line for the Dallas TV show — for the second time. TNT has announced that they’ve cancelled the new Dallas TV show after three seasons.
A continuation of the successful CBS series from the 1970s, 80s and 90s, Dallas follows the machinations of two generations of the dysfunctional and powerful Ewing clan. The cast includes Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, Jordana Brewster, Julie Gonzalo, Brenda Strong, Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, Mitch Pileggi, Emma Bell, Kuno Becker, and Juan Pablo Di Pace.
Year-to-year, season three of Dallas was down by 26% in viewership and down by 38% in the 18-49 demographic. It’s one of TNT’s lowest-rated scripted series and that certainly wasn’t a good sign for its chances of a fourth season.
In a statement, TNT said, “We are extremely proud of the series, which defied expectations by standing as a worthy continuation of the Ewing saga. We want to thank everyone involved with the show, from the extraordinary cast to the impeccable production team, led by the show’s creative forces, Cynthia Cidre and Mike Robin. We especially want to thank the people of Dallas for their warm and generous hospitality during the production of the series.”
Cidre and the writers have been working on scripts and ideas for a fourth season of Dallas so hopefully she’ll share what would have happened at some point.
What do you think? Will you miss the Ewings? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a fourth season? Would you watch it on another channel?
Please bring back, one of the best shows on tv. I never miss it.
My family and I love this show. We have been watching it since the beginning. We really hope that they will continue with the show. Please please continue it.

Please bring back Dallas. Should not have been moved to Mondays if it was doing well where it was why not just leave it! If you don’t want to continue the show at least give the viewers a final season!!!!
Please renew and make a season Dallas #4!!!!!! I can’t stand these reality shows and it is the only show my 97 year old Grandma and myself bond over!!!! Even if I had to send money, put it on a different time or network -Please !!!!
I’ve watched every episode of Dallas since it began in the late 70’s. Please do not cancel and leave us all hanging. I think that Monday night was a poor choice for viewing because of the competition of other popular programs. Try another night. Maybe Thursday. The original episodes ran on Friday night and were apparently successful.
SAME FOR ME, I AGREE
Please bring back Dallas. I thought it was one of the best dramas on TV. Someone please pick up Dallas again. John n Nancy Bess
Please save Dallas!!!!
Please renew great program.
Enjoy following the Ewings.
Good story lines
One of the better TV shows that had story lines and current events for age groups between 30 to 40 to 50 and into 60. The story line was always fast and easy to keep up with the show. This is a sad way to end this series with the car blowing up and and so many loose ends. I feel the show should have been brought back for a final season and answer many of the unanswered questions and storylines. WORK ON BRINGING IT BACK>….
Please renew. My favorite show.
I want to see season 4!!!!! C’mon you networks…pick it up!!!!!!!!!!!
I am so distraught “Dallas” has been cancelled! I was a faithful viewer of the original series from 1978 to 1991 on CBS and went through withdrawals when it ended! Now TNT does it? Please reconsider and bring it back! If not, I sure hope CBS or another network that everyone can get, not HBO, Showtime, Cinemax or networks like that because not everyone can afford to add that to their cable, DISH, or whatever else is out there. Please bring back “Dallas”!!!!
