Did you miss Day Break on ABC last night? If so, you’re certainly not alone. We’ve been innundated with emails and traffic from people looking for details on what’s happened to the Taye Diggs series.
For those who don’t know, Day Break has been pulled from primetime by ABC after just six episodes due to low ratings. The on-going storyline is hardly resolved with seven unaired episodes left in the season. ABC has said they will post episodes (one per week) on their website but many people don’t have a powerful enough computer, can’t access the Internet long enough to watch, don’t have a fast Internet connection or, for many other reasons, simply can’t view the episodes. In short, millions of people who could have seen future episodes on free network television, will never see this excellent series — and we think the decision-makers should know.
So, we’re inviting you to sign a petition that asks the network and the production companies (Gross Entertainment and Touchstone Television) to release the series so that more people can see it — to return the series to network TV or at the least, to release it on DVD. With enough interest, there could even be a second season or a movie.
Let your friends, neighbors and co-workers know — anyone who misses Day Break — where they can find this petition. Naturally, the more names are collected, the better.

We, the undersigned have enjoyed much of your programming, particularly the outstanding Day Break series. We have enjoyed the Taye Diggs series each week and are dismayed that it has been pulled from the primetime schedule.
We believe that the ratings have not accurately shown the show’s popularity for success. After just six episodes, we believe that Day Break was not given enough time to fully establish a potentially huge audience. Please remember that many very popular shows like MASH, 24 and Cheers were not immediate hits.
We understand that ABC is posting the remaining episodes online but, for a variety of reasons, millions of people are not able to see these episodes — resulting in lost viewership for you and disappointment and frustration for them.
We respectfully request that you return Day Break to network television and to consider continuing production of further episodes or even a film. At the very least, we ask that you make the existing episodes available to a wider audience via a DVD release.

Daybreak was great, I just finished watching the last show of season 1. Hopefully, they will have a season 2. Even if they only have season 2 online, I will still watch it. I will also buy the DVDs when they come out.
PLEASE BRING DAYBREAK BACK! It was a great show and I would like to know what happens next!

I feel so cheated!! I loved DAYBREAK and it was so exciting. It is better than 24 with better acting. Why would you cancel a show that is so original and a thrill to watch?? Get it back on! Hurry it’s not too late!! Please!! I agree with that other Commentor that stated that we are tired of ABC getting us to fall in love with a great show and then pulling the plug. It is the ultimate let down and I am not going to get hooked by ABC again! SHAME SHAME SHAME

I’d like to hope one of the more adventurous and creative cable networks will pick up this “one of a kind”, “edge of your seat”, “thrilling ride of a show!!!”. All the actors were fabulous! Taye Diggs is the best!
abc wont bring it back. i’m sure many of the people who did the series have all moved on to other endeavors.
too bad, really. it was done very well. i can see why Taye wanted to do it.

Bring back Day Break, the best show your network has ever aired! I also recommend watching the shows yourself before cancelling them as I can assure you this one would have had you hooked. If your network does not have the courage to continue the show then at least sell it to HBO or the Scifi Channel so that they can give it the support and the audience it deserves. Shows of this quality do not deserve to be shelved like this…
I live in the UK where Day Break has been aired for 3 weeks. I and most of my friends cant wait until Wednesday nights to watch it.I am devastated to learn that I will not be able to see what happens in the end. ABC how could you, first Kevin Hill now this. I myself can’t bear to watch another series on ABC in fear ill get hooked and then it get pulled . You’ve lost a good few viewers here in the UK ABC.

Excellent Show!!! The plot was ingenious and the mystery wasn’t predictable. I’d love to see the show return…bring it back!
I enjoyed this series from start to finish… in about a week and a half. I stumbled onto it frustrated that I could not watch lost online due to an extension of the break. The repeating day scenario is not new, but the action was fast-paced, the story was compelling. Detective Hopper’s story may be rounded out, but I do not believe it is any accident, or anything less than a back-door, that Chad escaped and Jared was left grinning with his own story untold.
