The Devious Maids are retiring. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lifetime has cancelled the series after four seasons.
The dramedy revolved around a group of Latina maids who work in the homes of wealthy and powerful families in Beverly Hills. The cast included Ana Ortiz, Dania Ramirez, Roselyn Sánchez, Judy Reyes, Rebecca Wisocky, Grant Show, and Susan Lucci.
While ratings for Devious Maids had never been high, season four were the lowest yet, earning an average of .30 in the 18-49 demo and only 923,000 viewers. For comparison, season three received an average of .46 in the 18-49 demo and 1.36 million viewers.

I’m shocked I loved Devious Maids. It’s a great show in every way. I watched every episode faithfully. It should have been one of the those lame ass shows Lifetime plays. I think the only thing i saw that went wrong was they added that new character (Genevieve’s new friend/hair dresser/mentor). They could have done better without him/her whatever it was. I always hit fast forward every time it was talking. Geez his mannerisms were annoying. I hope the show comes back without him.

I understand that you retiring this show but cancelling is not an option if cannot being revived. Otherwise I will combine Mistresses and this show for Murdoch Mysteries-theme Mistresses and Maids’ Mysteries sets from 18th to beyond.
One of the best shows iv watched! Didn’t catch it on air but watched all 4 seasons on Hulu in just a few weeks, I’m pissed you canceled it
Rethink this decision! I love this show & I couldn’t wait to see what scandal would pop up next! I never wanted this hour long show to end & the writers did a fantastic job leaving viewers with numerous outcomes that could occur from one ending to the next! Loved this!!!!
I don’t understand why the show is canceled this is ridiculous you guys should bring it back I hate when we all get involved in the show and it just gets canceled on us that’s not fair to the 87% of people who still watch the show and like it bring it back please reconsider Best show ever
