NBC hasn’t had a ratings hit on Thursday nights at 10pm in years. Will Do No Harm break that run or will it be cancelled quickly instead? We just need to follow the ratings to find out.
Revolving around a brilliant doctor with a dangerous alter-ego, Do No Harm features the talents of Steven Pasquale, Alana De La Garza, Michael Esper, Ruta Gedmintas, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Phylicia Rashad, John Carroll Lynch, and Samm Levine. This drama airs on Thursday nights and NBC has ordered 12 13 episodes.

It was a very poor start for Do No Harm. While the premiere did a bit better than the episode of The Firm that aired in this timeslot a year earlier, that’s little consolation. This season, Rock Center with Brian Williams has been airing Thursdays at 10pm and has consistently been one of NBC’s weakest performers in primeteime. In its first showing, Do No Harm nearly matched Rock Center’s series low record. Not good.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the Do No Harm TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
I love it! Please do not cancel it! I’m begging you!
Why would you base the ratings of this show on a specific air time that hasn’t done well? If you know that that particular airing time doesn’t do well regardless of the show being aired at that time why would you base the ratings on that? Asinine thinking is what that is. Why not fit it into a slot that does accumulate ratings? It was fucked to begin with. All on your part. Not the actual show. Understood that there are other shows with high ratings during the hours people watch TV , according to your network, but if you… Read more »

Don’t understand when a network has a good show they cancel it. The story line is fresh the writers aren’t tired yet. Who’s rating these shows anyway? We have 50 million CSI shows; all pretty good but my gosh need some alternatives. I NBC doesn’t pick it up for another season I hope some other network or cable does. Looking forward to another season.
this show is FANTASTIC, and it NEEDS to be brought back! please! I’m dying to have a second season of this, and writers Eric Charmelo and Nicole Snyder deserve to have a show that lasts! this one would be AWESOME!
omg please please leave this show. its amazing and i so want to know what happens next. don’t throw such a good story plot down the drain and into the trash. this show is one of the best i have ever seen!
Please Please have a season 2 I loved it!!
This show being cancelled is bullcrap. Sigh……….
RENEW …. I didn’t know it was more than 2 episodes. LOVED IT! Please, we need to see what happens!
Amazing show. Promote it well and bring it back!!!!
NBC who fell asleep at the switch? Do no harm is great, it was poor judgement to pull this show off in the first place. You have the numbers people like this show. Are NBC and A&E run by the same people because A&E has the same problem with the glades. If these are the shows we the viewer’s want then let us have them. All networks say they need the viewer’s ages of 18 to 25. Just remember people older than that watch tv, and also know more about good tv than a 20+ year old. This younger age… Read more »
NBC has to bring it back. Do No Harm is one of the better shows and should never have been cancelled. The plot is great you have never seen it before on tv. The cast is good the only thing that failed was NBC promoting the show. I was hooked after episode 1, you see you have the viewer fan base. This base was formed without any promoting, Think what the numbers would have been if it was promoted. You have a winner in Do No Harm, please don’t make the same mistake you did with Baywatch. If you remember… Read more »
