It was an underwhelming start for the new reality series. It tied with a repeat of The Middle on ABC for second place. If it dips in week two (as most new shows do), it’ll likely drop to third or fourth place. This premiere was less than half of what CBS saw from last summer’s Big Brother return.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the Dogs in the City TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Great show. It shows the great “slice of life”, New York City style, of dog owners and their dogs, and Justin has a winning personality and the knowledge and chutzpah to carry the show easily. I think it needs more time than just a few episodes so that people find out that it is actually on! I certainly hope to see it in the fall. I am already missing it, and I don’t watch much TV.
LOVE this show!!!!! Don’t cancel!!!! Please renew!!!!! I am a dog lover and this show is a fabulous way to get your puppy fix when you don’t have one or if you do. The problems Justin “fixes” with these dogs is truly amazing and had me referring this show to my Mom who has a 9-month old puppy who has been a terror (although slowly getting better). I thought she could use some of Justin’s techniques to hopefully turn the new puppy into the amazing dog I know she can be. Besides that, Justin is a hottie and I wouldn’t… Read more »
Love this show….. Justin is so nice to the dogs!! Please renew.
love the show; but show more training. Justin is adorable, watchable.
Why on earth did you schedule this wonderful show opposite So You Think You Can Dance? What a dumb thing to do. It won’t stand a chance against it and you will think no one likes Dogs in the City. If you had put it in a different time slot, you would have realized how much people love it. Justin is so funny and yet so effective in his solutions. And he is very kind while doing it –to the people as well as to the dogs. You can tell he loves dogs and that is wonderful. Great show! Please… Read more »
Renew the show cause it’s AWESOME and so is the trainer 🙂 !
I just LOVE this show and watching how Justin Silver interacts with all those troubled animals. LOL…most of the time it’s the owners and not the dogs that have a problem. Have learned a lot since I started watching and really hate to see such a GREAT SHOW cancelled. Please Don’t Cancel!!!!
I just discovered this show after being referred to it from a friend…how can CBS think of canceling when the show has been a “secret” from their promotions department. It is a refreshing alternative to the oh so typical evening choices.
Hope CBS will renew and if not hope another channel picks it up and gives it a chance. I just started watching and have told many of my friends and now it is gone…COME BACK JUSTIN……………
I have watch every show or taped it. I have saved the tapes to look at in the future.
I think this is an excellent show and have learned a lot from Justin and passed it on to other dog owners. Please keep the show.
I would love to see Dogs in the City renewed. I’ve tried some of Justins’ training techniques w/ my new rescue dog, and they have worked. This is one reality show that I really like and would love to continue watching.
PLEASE RENEW!!!
My wife and I thoroughly enjoy this show. We only watch via antenna, dvds, or amazon streaming. There isn’t much on network TV to watch most of the time. My wife loves “Big Bang Theory,” and now “Dogs in the City.” Not much else on regular TV to watch. So we watch dvds or old shows on Amazon streaming.
CBS has never had a good news lineup… if we want to hear what’s happening in the world and not get all the left wing propaganda we are forced to get our news from either Fox News, radio, or the internet.
This show MUST be renewed. Best canine show I have ever seen and Justin Silver is most definitely the “dog guru”! I wish he would come to Calgary (Stampede city) Canada.
Very refreshing change from blood and gore and garbage tv.
This show is the best one for dogs and owners I have ever seen. Justin is more personable, loving towards the dogs, patient and a god send to the owners than Milan will ever be. I watch the show faithfully and have learned alot from this wonderful man and his training techniques. The show with Edie Falco had me crying as well, along with the show about the little blind doggy. With all the crap on tv, blood and gore and insanity, please keep this show on. It is a welcome relief from garbage tv.
Keeper! Keeper! So refreshing to watch a show not involving unbelievable bachlors and bachlorettes, people loosing weight, people doing tricks in the jungle, singers, singers and more singers and lets not forget the dancers! There are lessons to be learned on this show and who doesn’t love Justin and the dogs.
Should most definitely be canceled. He is not an educated trainer, he is a stand up comic and actor (he had a spot on Law & Order in 2004). Also, he is using bad technique and giving bad advice setting the entire training industry back. Please boycott Justin Silver and Dogs in the City.
I totally disagree. If you don’t like it, don’t watch it. The rest of us enjoy it.
I doubt very seriously that the dog training industry is being set back. I’m sure there are many people out there who would be willing to pay for your services, if in fact you are a trainer.
