It was an underwhelming start for the new reality series. It tied with a repeat of The Middle on ABC for second place. If it dips in week two (as most new shows do), it’ll likely drop to third or fourth place. This premiere was less than half of what CBS saw from last summer’s Big Brother return.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the Dogs in the City TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Please keep this show. I bragged to my friends and relatives about how good this show was, then the show was cancelled!
Please, Please, Please bring back DITC. We are dog people and thoroughly enjoy this program! It is so practical and Justin is a good trainer.
PLEASE let’s keep this fun, fluff, enjoyable show on the air! My husband and I like to watch before going to sleep, it puts a smile on my face!
PLEASE do not cancel Dogs in the City. Truly loved the show and looked forward to it each week! I rarely watch TV and did not miss one of these episodes. Refreshing and fun to watch and great insights for pet owners. Loved it!!!
Yes I agree! There is so much crap, especially the reality kind! This is a much better reality show than what’s out there.
Please bring back Dogs in the City. I am a former student of the SFSPCA Dog Trainer Academy and have been taught by experts such as Jean Donaldson on how to use positive reinforcement when training dogs. Justin Silver uses postive reinforcement and I believe that he can provide a model of how people can better train their dogs using this method. His personality is commanding, he knows what he is talking about and he imparts the knowledge in a way that is educational.
And the real stars, the dogs, are just so doggone cute! Yes, I love the show and I notice that the audience grew every week it on. The show has lots of potential, hope they give it a chance to gather all potential fans and don’t do anything rash too soon.
We love this show! We, literally, watch ZERO shows on a regular basis, but this one would be one that we would cancel all else each week not to miss! PLEASE bring it back! There are many dog lovers out there that love this heart warming show!
It was so refreshing to (accidentally) find this show! Due to the silly “reality”-type shows that are on, we rarely watch network TV anymore. Once we found it (about mid-June), we looked forward to it each week. Set the DVR, but still watched when it was on. It is a very informative, entertaining show. Justin Silver’s personality is GREAT, and his way with understanding dogs is fantastic. Dogs are part of most people’s lives, and learning more about how to live with them is needed! Since the Dog Whisperer is going off the air, it will be a good replacement.… Read more »
That was a great show! So much better than most of the stuff on T.V. Bring it back!
Lets keep some decent programming on TV. This show is one of the ‘Special Ones’…
Informative…Entertaining…Heart Warming !!! KEEP IT ON THE AIR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Justin is Great which makes the show great ! Please don’t cancel it.
I’m still not sure if I like the format, going back and forth between the dogs. I’m not sure if I would watch this if something else was on during the fall season.
I look forward to each episode of this wonderful show. Justin works wonders with the dogs and it is heartwarming to see them respond as they do so positively. I don’t even have a dog of my own, but I find myself trying to help other pet owners with their unruly dogs and realize that most of the problem is with the owners. The time I am watching the show just flies by and I am left wanting more. I hope this show will be back for another season. We need more family and decent shows to upbuild us.
Loved the Show, was just getting some word of mouth. I told all my friends with dogs (10) to watch the show. I hope CBS gives it another chance, we loved the tips and seeing how different families interacted with their dogs.
Please do not cancel the show! My whole famiky really enjoys watching it together! I also love Justin!!!
I was so happy when I found this show. I picked up dog training tips in each episode, and really learned to appreciated my dog compared to some of the problems out there. Please keep it on the air. I don’t have cable, so can’t watch the Dog Whisperer.
