It was an underwhelming start for the new reality series. It tied with a repeat of The Middle on ABC for second place. If it dips in week two (as most new shows do), it’ll likely drop to third or fourth place. This premiere was less than half of what CBS saw from last summer’s Big Brother return.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the Dogs in the City TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Love the show. My family (including 2 children) watch and learn about caring for dogs. I hope the show will be on for a long, long time. Very educational and entertaining. Justine Silver is great!
PLEASE RENEW THIS OUTSTANDING SHOW!! I don’t like reality shows but this piqued my Interest from the beginning because it had something to do w/dogs–& when the 1st show was halfway thru, I texted all my friends & told them they HAD to watch Dogs In The City!! It’s the 1st reality show that actually provides entertainment as well as give you great suggestions on helping me & a lot of others, w/their dog behavior problems, as well as putting animal rescue on the forefront! I absolutely love this trendy show…my friends & I talked about it on Facebook every… Read more »
Please renew this show.
Dogs in the City was a terrific show in Season 1. Justin is a memorable host, making the show a different type of dog show. Please renew it for another season in the Fall.
My husband and I have really enjoyed watching this show. It’s very interesting and enjoyable to see how Justin helps with the dogs in so many situations. We’ve recommended the show to all our friends and have missed it since it’s been off! I hope it’s not cancelled!
[…] that network television has gone to the dogs. CBS was hoping that canines would bring them some big ratings with Dogs in the City. Were they right? Will the show be cancelled or renewed for a second […]
Love the show; love Justin. My family watches Dogs in the City (includes 2 children) and we want to watch it year after year. Great show and education. Thanks!
Renew
I love this show and have not only found it interesting and helpful but have recommended it to several people that have been experiencing problems with their dogs. It’s especially disappointing that so many so called “reality” shows continue to excel. That’s not reality…this is…solving some real issues within a family, whether those family members are human or canine. Please don’t tell me that people acting inappropriately or another yeh.,we’re all bout “real love” bachelor or bachelorette episode continues to squash tv shows like this one. Ugh.
This was an eclectic and unusual and very entertaining show. I’d love to see it come back on a regular basis. This was the first reality show I actually marked up to catch every episode. The rest of them are boring!
you people need to listen to yourselves, your liking a show about a man talking to dogs, if that isn’t insane enough!!!! I think you all need to go back to the looney bin along with this insane guy talking to dogs…..CBS would be nuts to renew for a second season…..
I was so disappointed not to see Dogs in the City scheduled for the past few wed eves. I was looking forward to it as the “high point” of my television viewing week. After watching it the first time I recommended it to my dog loving friends who also loved it. With at least %15 of NYC population as dog owners this show has the potential to be huge. It just needs a little time. I believe if given a chance we will see more “dog centered” shows in different demographics going forward. We need this show and more like… Read more »
I love this show. He has helped my best friend with her dog. Which is a rescue. I don’t want this show cancelled.
This show should be renewed. Just to give you an idea I, invariably DO NOT WATCH reality shows. Then Dogs In The City came along and I was hooked from the first show. So this show is the one exception to my rule.
Are you kidding me?!?!?! I’m sorry but I was SUPER disappointed when I turned my tv on and my favorite show wasn’t there. I love this show. This show is a family show and doesn’t deserve to be took off air! Dogs in the city is much better than the stupid reality shows they have these days, filled with drama and just stupidity. Please please but it back on. I learned so much. PLEASE DON’T TAKE IT DOWN!!!
