It was an underwhelming start for the new reality series. It tied with a repeat of The Middle on ABC for second place. If it dips in week two (as most new shows do), it’ll likely drop to third or fourth place. This premiere was less than half of what CBS saw from last summer’s Big Brother return.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the Dogs in the City TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
I really hope this show comes back again this fall. It was refreshing from some of the other reality shows and I picked up new ideas every week for working with my dogs.
Love the show Dogs In The City. cant wait for more…
My husband and I absolutly love this show….it should not be cancelled…it is one of the few entertaining and learning shows on TV, certainly better than reality TV we have had in the past.
I love the Justin Silver Dog show and would love to see it return this fall, its better then other reality shows that are now on TV. I have a one year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and have learned alot from Justin Silver. Let me know if it is returning please.
I really love this show, its a breath of fresh air from all those other reality shows,
finally something I can watch with my family without feeling embarrased. Family
friendly show, please don’t cancel this show
Please don’t cancel this show, I really enjoyed and learned from this show on how to
train my dog. His tactics really work and as a dog lover I would really be upset if the show gets canceled. My kids will be devastated we watch this show as a family!!!!!
I hope that this show gets renewed, it certainly is so much better than some of the garbage that is on tv now. I love seeing all the dogs and how they are transformed, wish I had my neighbors watching many dogs in need of training.
Please bring back, I have watched the dog whisperer. And I find this one much more to my liking. Justin Silver is great and knows what he’s talking about. PLEASE ,PLEASE, BRING IT BACK.
Give this show a chance, it’s fun to watch, the host is great (and very cute), and for dog lovers it’s a real treat, and we learn things too!
Besides being entertaining, “Dogs in the City” gives some great pointers in training dogs anywhere (not 0nly in a big city or apartment), understanding how we inadvertently reinforce negative behavior and humorously demonstrates the follies of attributing human characteristics to our canine friends. Do not take it off the air.
Love this show! Please renew!!
The show is educating and entertaining. As adopters of ten dobermans over the years, we’ve successfully used many of the techniques he uses on the show. However, anyone who believes it’s as easy as it looks on the show, has there head up their . . . . . It takes hours of repitition to complete these training sessions – but what he does on the show is a start. Please don’t cancel it!!
This is a fabulous show and should be extended. Our dog-loving friends didn’t even know it was on – more advertising is necessary so folks will know about it. We only found it by accident. We are basically cat people and haven’t had a dog for years, but find this to be our all-time favorite show because of Justin’s positive personality and teaching style which is so clear and thorough that we all learn. He is a fantastic teacher! We love it!!!!!!!!!!!! Please Renew without hesitation!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please renew! I agree with the breath of fresh air comment. This was something our whole family could watch together. Even after 10 years with our 2 boxers, we learn something new every week!
Love the show, hope it’s not cancelled. If it is I am not going to start watching any new shows since they get canned when you get interested. I’ll wait until the show has been renewed before I start watching. I agree with the comments someone else posted, some shows get fans as it matures, stop pulling shows prematurely!
