It was an underwhelming start for the new reality series. It tied with a repeat of The Middle on ABC for second place. If it dips in week two (as most new shows do), it’ll likely drop to third or fourth place. This premiere was less than half of what CBS saw from last summer’s Big Brother return.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the Dogs in the City TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
I’ve told all my friends who are dog lovers to watch this informative show. Justin is an excellent trainer and I’ve learned so much from just these few episodes.
Do NOT cancel this show – PLEASE!!!!!!
This is a great common sense show that really should be “must” viewing for any first-time dog owner. Unlike most “reality” type shows (which I find unwatchable due to their shallow content), Dogs in the City is neither mean-spirited nor negative. Not only are the dogs fun to watch, but the “people improvement” demonstrates that there is hope for all of us. If it is renewed, it is a show that I would mark on my calendar each week as a time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the good vibrations.
I am a dog mother and I love this show. Justin shows such common sense in correction training. He has empathy for the doggie and for doggie’s mom and/or dad. Dogs in the City is full of good stuff. Please keep the shows coming.
Love this show, my daughters and I watch it together and now whenever our dogs act up they say we need to call Justin Silver. Charming host, informative and a worthy subject matter. Renew!
I absolutely think this show should be renewed!! It isn’t just for dogs but it’s about how humans treat each other as well as their dogs and the goodness in all of us. What a positive show! I strongly hope this is renewed, GREAT JOB JUSTIN!!!! please come back!
Really enjoy this show along with my pomeranian, Teddy (he sits on my lap and watches and reacts to some of the action!). I have used several of the techniques Justin is demonstrating–I just wish he were closer (California) so I could get the same kind of help these lucky dog owners are getting! Please do NOT cancel it!
LOVE this show. Justin is great and I get alot of good tips for my own dogs. I just wish he wasn’t so far away (I’m in Wyoming!) KEEP THE SHOW!
My familys favority show. It is interesting, funny, educational and for the entire family. We are dog lovers and have learned alot from the stories – pray it will not be taken off the air. Not many family shows left.
Great show! Please renew for more seasons…better than watching middle-aged rich women fight with each other every week. The whole family love it and Justin is hilarious but also a great trainer.
U really like this show and I hope its a season return. I think its engaging, funny, informative and all around entertaining and something many people can relate to.
We love it. Justin has good dog AND people sense.
Bring it on.
This show gives a lot of information for those who have dogs like my husband and I. We really appreciate watching it every Wednesday. Please keep the show running for a second season…or many more…maybe Justin can come over to Los Angeles and do the same?
This is one show that educates us. None of the others do. KEEP IT ON THE AIR!!
WE ARE LEARNING A LOT AND SO ARE OUR CANINE COMPANIONS,
This show should most certainly return! My wife and I have watched most all of the episodes and love it. This show fits with a lot of regular people. We have way too much trash TV. It’s time to keep some real down to earth informative and entertaining programs like: Dogs In The City.
I love this show! Not only is Justin Silver an excellent dog trainer, but he is most definitely eye candy. The show is informative for pet owners and just a good watch in general. I think it should stay; we have enough below-par stuff on TV, and this is a good one!
This show has ran it’s course…..I mean how many times can you make correcting stupid dogs bad behavior interesting? Good show if you life revolves around you dog, otherwise enough is enough!
What a fabulous show, I can’t believe they are cancelling it! I echo the others in lamenting tonight’s finale. What an uplifting series showing compassion, humor, and the positive side of humans, rather than shows which thrive on evil, violence, death, and autopsies. Working with animal rescue, I can say that he did a great service educating people on the merits of adopting fantastic dogs (especially tonight’s episode) and showing that with minor adjustments, dogs and people can find wonderful lives together. It takes more than a few shows to kick start a series. I hope that CBS will reconsider… Read more »
Sorry, Darrel, don’t think this show has run its course. I suspect it has jusst started to run its course. My life doesn’t revolved around my husband’s dog but I find what Justin does to be fascinating. He not only trains misbehaving dogs but their owners as well.
