It was an underwhelming start for the new reality series. It tied with a repeat of The Middle on ABC for second place. If it dips in week two (as most new shows do), it’ll likely drop to third or fourth place. This premiere was less than half of what CBS saw from last summer’s Big Brother return.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the Dogs in the City TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
We absolutely adore this show. We watch it religiously! Please please keep it going another season. Silver is terrific.
I loved this show. I don’t think people know that this program exists. This series truly shows the importance of helping the humans, and by doing so, the dogs are transformed and are then able to live the lives they were meant to live. I was saddened to see that the show was over so soon. Please bring it back this season, if possible!!!
As the family of a 9 year old golden retriever and a 5 year old black lab and border collie service dog (my son’s) which was a rescue from a Chicago pound, we have been mesmerized by this show. We make sure the TV is on on Wednesday nights and don’t miss a minute. Both of our dogs have been trained, but we have learned more about them with every episode. This is a great show, and Justin is a fabulous communicator with amazing insight into the psychology of dogs and dog owners. The show is funny, insightful and entertaining.… Read more »
Renew the show. It is fabulous.
Please renew dogs in the city. Look forward to watching it. Great show for all ages and families. Love the show and justin silver!!!
I love this show and was sorry to see it end tonight. Do us all a favor and keep it going. I seldom comment on a show but this is one I can’t pass up; it is too good to just let it go by without speaking up.
I also don’t comment on TV shows. This one is very special.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this series… it’s wholesome and refreshing… why do we always get stuck with crappy unreality shows (Big Brother) and other non enlightening shows… C’mon CBS do something worthwhile!!!! Keep this show and others like it on the air.
We just LOVE this show and hope that it comes back next season. We just love Justin!! Please renew the show
Terrific show. I taped them and keep watching them over and over. Please bring it back next year. Or better yet, THIS YEAR
.
LOVE this show! Much too good to be called a “reality show”. Really useful information presented in a fun and entertaining way. Good family entertainment is in such short supply these days. I’m hoping that ” Dogs in the City” will be renewed!
Love this show. get the word out more…we just happened upon it.
Absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this show! PLEASE do NOT CANCEL!
So informative and so entertaining! Can’t get enough of it….but see
that tonight’s episode will be “The Finale?” EEK! “Dogs in the City” is
my new favorite show… PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE bring the show
back for a second season so that we there is something other than
Reality Shows to watch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WE LOVE THIS SHOW! A GREAT FAMILY SHOW FOR EVERYONE TO ENJOY. WILL BE DISAPPOINTED IF IT DOES NOT COME BACK. WE APPRECIATE ALL THE INFORMATION JUSTIN HAS PROVIDED US. THE DOGS ARE SO PRECIOUS AND THIS SHOW TRULY EDUCATES AND ENTERTAINS. REALLY ENJOYED THE REAL LIFE STORIES OF THE OWNERS AND THEIR DOGS.
I WOULD RATHER WATCH THIS INSTEAD OF ANOTHER SHOW BASED ON MURDER OR HOSPITAL DOCTORS. BUMMER!
Absolutely LOVE this show. Finally something worth watching in the Summer. Please renew. Most people don’t even know about it. Give it a Friday night time slot in the Fall and I am sure the ratings would go up.
What a refreshing change from the reality shows that are based on human humiliation, shame, and defeat.
There is potential for everybody to win on this show. It is upbeat and interesting. Justin Silver does a great job interacting with pets and their owners without immense ego or flash that would only detract from the purpose of the show.
My only disappointment was that it was such a short summer series.
As said in previous commentary, the show is informative and entertaining, I really hope to see more of it.
Please keep this show on CBS it is a very informative show! ( gentle dog training method is important)
