It was an underwhelming start for the new reality series. It tied with a repeat of The Middle on ABC for second place. If it dips in week two (as most new shows do), it’ll likely drop to third or fourth place. This premiere was less than half of what CBS saw from last summer’s Big Brother return.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the Dogs in the City TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Please don’t cancel this show. This is one of the handfull of shows that I made a point to watch every week. Besides the excellent dog traing and behavior advice for city people, the show is very human with not only the dogs problems but peoples issues.Justin deals with both the dogs and people so compationatly that it is a reminder on how to live our lives.
great show, he has a great approach to dog training, he does a great service. yes renew
Please do not cancel this show. I watched each episode and also engaged my dog owning friends to watch it. Many people own rescue dogs but most are terrible owners because they lack the skills to train them or correct their dog’s behavior. Justin Silver is a master at this, not to mention he has an engaging and genuine personality. I hope Justin goes far in his life as a dog trainer in NY, plus I think he should pursue an acting career! I really do hope CBS brings this show back in the fall.
I love this show very entertaining and informative.
Please Please Don’t Cancel this show! It’s entertaining and educational at the same time.
Love this show! Please renew it!! One of the few shows that a family can watch together and learn from. Plus, I think it helps get dogs out of the shelters and into good homes. It’s a win-win in my opinion. Who doesn’t love dogs?
The first week i was judging it against dog whisper, which i love (sorry cbs)but i decided to give it another shot plus i dvr the whole season, which frankly i am glad i did. now after what 5 or 6 show or maybe more i am really liking this show, so please cbs give it another season at least, give it some publicity, frankly it is one of my favs so again please do the right thing and keep it!
Definately renew this show – it is one of the best training shows ever – and it is very entertaining as well
I never leave comments but absolutely must say that this is a wonderful show. I own cats but love, love, love watching Justin working with the dogs and their owners. You can tell that Justin absolutely adores people and their dogs. I’m going to miss watching the show. Please bring it back next season (or sooner!)
Hope “Dog in the City” is part of the fall 2012 line up. Really enjoy watching Justin take problem dogs and turning them around. It’s obvious he loves what he’s doing and it’s amazing how he can focus in on the problem and turn it around. This is one of the few reality shows that is worth watching.
One of the BEST shows on tv.
Loved Dogs in the City! Please renew the show! Justin is a joy to watch because he is so atuned to the dogs as well as the people, and it’s always great to watch the people and places of New York!
Absolutely love the show – please review. Justin is absolutely awesome with both clients and animals!
Please keep Dogs in the City on air. It’s smart, practical and so helpful – there are so many crappy shows on tv – especially the major networks and this show is a refreshing change. Last nights episode was the best – loved that Justin was really promoting adoption and supporting all those who help get dogs adopted into new forever home.
Best show on TV right now. Ijust love it. I have looked so forwar dot my Wednesday nights lately just to see Justin & his wonderful ways of dealing with these troubled animals.
It is so much better than most of the crappy reality shows on TV right now. So much better !!!!!
He is the younger, hipper dog whisperer. I think lots of people will tune in if this show gets picked up.
Please don’t cancel this show, it’s a great show. People don’t realize that there are dog lovers in New York and the obstacles of having a dog in the city.
