It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

I did not find the show until middle of the series.. The problem was not promoted enough, advertised enough, timeslot was good.. I did love the show after I did find it… and would set my dvr incase i would miss it… Nice humour, story line, and was light and fun to watch… Please keep me informed when it will return this thanksgiving?
I loved the show. The problem was is that it was never advertised. Anyone I talked to never heard of the show. If they had advertised the ratings would have been better. I never knew what night it was on. I thought it was light and fun to watch prior to going to bed at night.

I am so disappointed. I love this show. It is one of the few things I looked forward to during the work week. It is different than all the hospital, crime , and reality garbage that is on the air now. There is not enough shows like this that just give good entertainment. Why not just give it a little more time and I think it could become a favorite of many more.
boy am I disappointed that this show has been cancelled. I really enjoyed the way the story went plus Paul Gross and his leering….. They all seemed to gell well together – pity.
I can’t believe this show got cancelled! I absolutely LOVE it! It’s smart,funny,sexy and supernatural. It has it all and ABC wants to ditch it?! How stupid and out of touch are the network executives? A show like this takes a little time to find it’s audience but once it does,watch out! If they had any brains at all,the ABC execs would at least give it another 13 episodes or maybe run it in the summer when everything is in reruns anyway and let it find it’s audience. I believe it was pulled because the religions didn’t like the idea of witches.
They also did not Joan of Arcadia… believed it was a “put down” to God that a teen could communicate with him
No wonder it wasn’t recording on the DVR and I just got done blaming my teenagers for messing up the show being recorded.

bring the show back it was a amazing i couldn’t watch it on tv because of the recession me lost are cable but i seen every single episode online it gave me something to look forward to every Wednesday it was a great show and i always wanted more

I really think there wasn’t enough advertising for it, or the timing for the adds were off. I knew many people who weren’t aware it was coming on!

It was a good show and we enjoyed it, some of the actors were lame but they could have been replaced, Rebecca Romijm and Paul Gross were great….the rest…ehh. Also needed new story lines…………Fix it up, put it back!!!!
I LOVED MY WEDNESDAY NIGHTS. After Modern Family and Cougartown, good blend of actor, it had a good story line. I loved this show. PUT IT BACK!!!
