It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

This show was excellent, the story line was interesting and the character dynamics, the witches, Roxie and Darryl, Kat and the new guy across the street (with the strange little boy that was in charge HELLO I WANNA KNOW WHATS UP WITH THAT) and so on, the show had so many diffrent ways in which to get involved. The idiots at ABC put this Series in the Wrong time slot. Who needs another reality show, or another medical soap! This show was/is always a pleasure to watch. I think there is simply not enough promo for the show.
This show for me filed the void for “Sex in the city” and I don’t have to worry about the kids popping in to witness “things”. The story line has so many possibilties….
Keep it Eastwick. get rid of a reality show!!!!

I am So SOOOOO Up set that it’s getting cut! it’s so not fair!!! they didn’t advertise it very well and they also put it on at such a late time right around when some other good shows were on that other ppl watch!! I think if they put it on earlier and Hyped it up a little more they could make this show have amazing ratings! DON’T CANCEL THIS SHOW I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!

i love this show i would watch it every week with my friend. i had to stop watching for a few weeks because of school work and i finally desided to catch up and found it was cancelled. what a disapointment.
I think takeing a new show off the air after only 13 episodes is stupid. I love that show. But who am I. Just voicing comment’s that won’t be read, It’s all about the money. I think they should bring in other people from the movie… It would make the rateings alot higher. Thicken the plot. But if they cancel it oh well. Not much we can do about it. Jack N would of made the show a hit.
I can not believe they want to cancel this show, I LOVE IT. They always cancel the good shows just when you get into them. Get rid of some reality shows.

BIG MISTAKE! This series is terrific and many many of my friends watch and enjoy this. You are making a big mistake; as was made with Jerricho. It is absolutely delightful and charming.
What the Hell!! I love this show. There are so few shows on that have talented writing and acting. I’m dying to know what happens next. Please put it back on. Brainless teenagers have got to stop running the networks. Leave us grownups with something entertaining to watch besides crime dramas.
What a horrible disapointment!!!!! We loved EASTWICK it got more interesting with each episode! Why do they do that? Just when a they have a great show they always pull the plug and disapoint the viewers!!!!!! Just like when they pulled the plug on MEN IN TREES!!!!!!!!! WHY DON’T THEY PULL THE PLUG ON SOME OF THE REALITY SHOWS???????????

Don’t make the mistake of taking this series off the air. It is captivating and leaves you wanting more. Please don’t put more “reality” shows on the air – use your brains on this one.
I am totally gutted this show has been cancelled, I happened upon it by chance on I tunes and i have downloaded everyavailible episode since. It is great entertainment. I am surprised it did not appear to get any advertisement, but i have told all my girlie firends about it and they also have become avid viewers. Shame there is nothing we can do to get ABC to change thier mind. Let us hope another network will see the potential of this and with the right promotions and advertising make a success of this programme.
I really loved this show!! The scenes were so fabulous – total eye candy – t.v. is never this well done! The characters are so engaging and wonderfully clever as is the script and the story line. The casting is perfection and these women (& men) are consumate actors – they are beyond amazing!! Everything about it is just remarkably exceptional. I can’t believe enough people didn’t watch it – maybe they tivo’ed? (Maybe it needs more enticing promotion?)
