It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

Abc has no clue what a good or bad Tv show really is!! I loved this show and I pray that they do not cancel V pretty soon as well!! I love these 2 shows and are the only reason i tuned into this awful network!
I have a wednesday night ritual! My girlfriend and I grab a bottle of wine,,, and we tune in to abc! The whole night is a graudual incline with the final apex being Eastwick! The perfect end to a great line up of programs! So three weeks ago, our evening was going great,,,,cougar town was over, and our favorite show was about to begin. What the , it wasn’t Eastwick at all it was, it was, IT WAS UGLY BETTY! OHH THE HORROR! EASTWICK HAS BEEN CANCELLED!
very disappointed,I loved Eastwick, it had it all , beautiful women , drama, humour, great chemistry and one very sexy canadian actor.ABC made a huge mistake cancelling this great show, they really don’t know what the public wants.
I am so sick of reality shows. Eastwick wasn’t like all the other shows. It was different. I’m going to miss it. I looked forward to it everyweek. Booo on you ABC
cannot believe they have cancelled this show i had it set to a series link so i never missed an episode absolutely gutted as there have been quite a few shows cancelled this year and to hear another of my faves cancelled is a joke

I’m with everyone else that I’ve read here. I LOVED EASTWICK!!!!! I’m sick of reality shows, this show was so different, I always looked forward to seeing it.
I loved loved this show so much! I always looked forward to watching it. It seems like all the good shows don’t stay around. I also really liked Lindsay Price in Lipstick Jungle with Brooke Shields.
And now, after all that, ABC has cancelled Ugly Betty too.

Can’t believe they cancelled Eastwick, just another dumbmove for ABC, I can’t think of another program I watch on that network, now I have no reason to watch it at all. I actually got my kids and boyfriend to watch it, it kinda had something for everyone. Nope, can’t think of a single reason to watch that network anymore.
This was one of the few abc shows that i enjoyed . It was truly stupid for abc to get rid of it. They replaced it with Ugly Betty which is one of the stupidest shows i have ever seen. EastWick was one of the only shows my boyfriend would actually watch with me, which means something because males were interested in the show not just females.
I’m a 57 yr old grandmother, who is sick, sick, sick of watching reality shows and tired scripts from shows like Desperate Housewives, Grey’s Anatomy and Ugly Betty. I LOVED Eastwick immediately. To cancel that show was a great act of stupidity.
Really loved the show & highly disappointed that ABC decided to get rid of it. Not a big fan of ABC overall & now that they canceled Eastwick, only 1 other show I am interested in, but I’m sure that will be canceled as well. Hard for me to get excited about “Supernanny” or “Extreme Makeover” or “The Bachelor” or several others.
How about if you guys created a new reality show based on networks & lame programming? …. You guys would be the main attraction 🙂
