It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

I liked the show. Wish it would get picked up agains
I love the show I have always love witches of Eastwick and it was great that they found girls that could play to the original story line I hope that they bring it back because don’t watch much t.v. and it was great to watch tv instead of another reality show

I just found out that Eastwick was cancelled. I have been waiting for it to come back on. What happened? I was looking forward to buying the 1st series CD. I hope the show gets another chance and will come back on again in the future.
You ususally cancel something I like….Why would I be surprised! That’s why I watch cable more that you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We enjoyed this show and found it quite entertaining. The time slot was not ideal but thankfully we were able to view with by recording on our DVR. I’m sooo diappointed that the show is coming to an end. 🙁
i liked the show. i develop for a living and i liked just watching and getting away from the real world for a change. no real hate going on in the show. cybil shepard and bunn, don’t know her real name but from the real movie. wow. would have liked to see the theme of the movie come in to the series but it was a great show. my girlfriend and i used to watch together. darn. i mean, come on. who wants to watch some teenie bopper on the country music awards who can’t write music get a bunch… Read more »
I AM SO MAD THAT THEY CANCELED MY FAVE SHOW!!!! I ALWAYS PUT IT ON RECORD ON MY DVR SO I CAN SEE IT WHEN I GET HOME FROM WORK AT NIGHT. JUST WHEN EVERYTHING WAS STARTING TO GET MORE INTERESTING, THEY CUT IT OFF????? BOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! THIS WAS A FUNNY, INTERESTING, CAN’T WAIT TO SEE ANOTHER EPISODE SHOW….MAYBE THE TIME SLOT WAS OFF AND NO ADVERTISING WASN’T DONE ENOUGH, BUT THEY NEED TO RETURN IT ASAP!
I have just watched all 13 episodes of Eastwick… it was brilliant. It kept me gripped right up to the last episode but now I am left wondering what will happen. Surely ABC cannot leave it with all those why’s, whos and what fors!!!

i can’t tell you as i loved the show i just hope they release it on dvd so i can buy it and sit down and watch them all again i wish it was still on they need to give it a chance change times or something after putting ugly betty on in its place they canned that to now that is a show i don’t like they should of aired the rest of eastwick instead it only had 2 episodes to go. bring eastwick back
ABC think again! Eastwick is an awesome show, I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. I feel so “robbed” I found something to make me smile and involved. Please re think and bring it back! I don’t have Cable any more but I look up the show online and when I saw it was cancelled I was heart-wrenched. In lack of better words “This Sucks!”
ABC, you suck! I LOVED “Eastwick”. Like many other opinions, it was new/fresh and all of the actors in it were amazing. Being a fan of chick flicks and one of my alltime faves was “The Witches Of Eastwick” i was excited to see how the witches would evolve in the show. I truly hope ABC comes to realize we viewers need a show like this as i too have had enough of the routine “cop” shows on air now. Give us back the Witches!!
I ALWAYS LOOKED FORWARD TO THIS SHOW. IT’S SOOO MUCH FUN …WHY, WHY, WHY DID YOU CANCEL IT?? I’M SO SICK OF THE LAW AND ORDER AND CSI AND ALL OTHER COP SHOWS…THIS WAS A CHANGE AND A GOOD ONE…WHO MAKES THESE DECISIONS ANYWAY?? NOT A SMART MOVE!!!
I second that!!!! I’m sick of the CSI’s etc. & the Reality shows they keep putting on TV. This was a good & funny series. My Husband & I loved watching!!!!
I am sorry I did not get the chance to watch. I was looking for it and never found it. I could not remember the station that I saw the ad on. I was really wantingh to see it. I think it was not advertised enough.
Thought it was a fun and funky show. I don’t watch a lot of TV so for a show to catch and hold me was something. I am very sorry for the actors as they were doing a great job and the writers were having lots of fun. Sorry guys – I miss you every Wednesday night.
I think it was a fantastic show – with an undesirable time slot. I really think the time it ran had a lot to do with its lack of statistical success. …But I did love it enough to stay awake to watch it! I’d love to see it back, it’s a shame it got cancelled right when the questions were beginning to be answered!
