It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

Its absolutely ridiculous where they ve left it i thought the 1st season was really good but i’m absolutely discusted ABC for the fact of where they ve just decided to cut the programme with loads of the storylines being wide open

I really enjoyed the show im so angry you guys decided to pull the plug on this great show….. So what if it didnt have great ratings new show rearly do and they pick up in time you didnt give it a chance . what happens to the people that love the show and follow it every week…. Plz Bring the girls Back
i loved eastwick so much but it seemed they kept changing the day and times around in sydney so i stoped watching it on tv but i watched the rest online asap and i loved it! i really want to know what happens and when they’ll defeat darel (the devil) i’m guessing its similar to the movie the witches of eastwick i mean yes it’s been done before but it as great for teens and i loved it.
Why not put this on dvd at least those of us who enjoyed the show would be able to
watch all 13 episodes. Also why not have the show on during the off season replace one
of the reality shows
I loved Eastwick, got it on series choice in the uk. gutted no second series as so much as gone unanswered!!!
The first shows were tighter, well-written, logical within the parameters of the plot. It appears they changed writers? The later shows were too filled with silly or illogical, or un-something: silly: Joanna’s truly inane dialog–which begins to sound like a middle school girl “..and I’m going to …and so there…” stupid…just stupid sounding. Her character weirdness increases with exaggerated dancing at the art soiree, seducing a gay guy, her silly telekenesis attempts, “and her blubbering at the guy who replaced her at the paper …”and…and… I’m going to have a boyfriend…and my blog is going to be a HUGE success….and…and…”… Read more »
I loved that show. I am getting really tired of all the shows going off the air.they need to leave them on long enough for people to realize. That they are good shows
I love Eastwick. It’s an amazing show and I really want it back for a second season, it’s got so many unresovled storylines, and I want to find out what happens with Jamie, and Roxie’s Husband, and I want to find out more about Eleanor Rougemont. I was hoping to write an episode for Eastwick and send it in, but that aint goanna happen. I’m really gutted and I would absolultley love it if it came back.
I think ABC cancelled Eastwick because someone in the production admin was afraid that a show that has witchy realism would be unpopular and result in economic losses. These type of people believe women should be subjective. ABC tends to have older, male dominated admin making the big decisions. They also rely a lot on support from older-establishment type (conservative) bunch of folks. This same type of support is controlling and driving the public school system, which is why it also is going to the crapper, along with topic/gender censored tv. Beside ABC, is there any TV station that will take and continue Eastwick?…Like FOX maybe?.. I love this great series and hoping that there’s more season after this but unfortunately, reading your writing make me down down and down. I hope Eastwick producer will lease down with another TV station..I really hope.

I LOVE EASTWICK, i have just finished watching first season ( and now last) season in New Zealand and im bummed to see they cancelled the 2nd season. The actresses and actors are all amazing. i wanna know what happens with jamie coming back. with the crazy boy thats pocessed by kats new neighbour and roxies husband that came back from the dead. Well said!!! I also loved this show and the actors and actresses!! I hate when they tease us with these new shows and then they don’t bring them back!! Ugghhh!! Very frustrating!!
I really liked this show. It just needed more punch. If the network was going to go super natural it should have gone full throttle. It seemed that people were afraid to push because some religious people might have gotten offended. Witch craft and the mystery of it is a part of western culture. Being afraid of women is a part of western culture. This show really could have taken some intersting turns abd twists. Punk azz network!!!!
