Liam James is Ben/Adam Warren. Andrew McCarthy is Hank Asher. Floriana Lima is Bridey Cruz. Young Willa and Danny are played by Madeleine Arthur and Rarmian Newton.

Claire finally realizes what Adam and Ben endured when she visits the hell hole-like tomb where they were kept, exploding with grief, anger and frustration. Meanwhile Jane looks to make a getaway as Nina closes in on Doug’s location, and Agent Clements’ time is running out. Hank comes face to face with his inner demons, and one phone call shatters Ben’s world, forcing him to tackle an uncertain destiny.

The Family was canceled due to low ratings. As of the May 8th episode, the series averaged 0.83 in the 18-49 year-old viewer demographic and drew an average total audience of 3.276 million viewers. We have been tracking 25 scripted ABC series during the 2015-16 television season. Those numbers leave The Family ranked 21st out of 25, when sorted by both the demo and total average audience.

ABC cancelled The Family on Thursday, May 12, 2016, so this first season finale was not written as an intentional TV series finale. If the audience will get sufficient closure or satisfaction from “What Took So Long,” remains to be seen.

Please bring it back for a 2nd season. Every episode left you wondering what was going to happen next. Very well written. So many options for several seasons.
I’m disappointed the show was canceled because this one really left you hanging 🙁 it was refreshing to watch something other than reality or comedy. I thought the networks were on to something new with the recent one season series such as Grace Point & American Crime. Back to some good old fashioned mini series mysteries.
I am so upset that The Family was cancelled! It was a great show that I don’t think many people got wind of.

I really liked this show and am really disappointed it is going to be cancelled it barely had a chance to get off the ground – 2 months? Even in that shirt time, it drew me in and each week revealed new mysteries. I hope ABC changes its mind, or another station picks it up. Good storyline and great acting!
OH NO!!! I can not believe this series was cancelled!! I hope another network picks it up… and what a cliffhanger!!! We have to know what happens next!! GRRRRR!!!
I gave this a try & really loved the show.
Cancelled after one season with no closure is very disappointing to any loyal viewer. The main reason I am watching less and less abc and broadcast networks.
KEEP IT! Or another station PLEASE PLEASE, PRETTY PRETTY PLEASE pick it up? I loved the show and it’s going to ruin my life if the show ends and leaves me hanging! I mean, we all know Fox has a reputation for cancelling good shows and keeping crap ones, you guys don’t want to be compared to them, do you?
U cannot cancel this show it’s good and intense and now that Adam is still alive it can’t just end like that no way…i look forward to watching this show it has to come back. Bring the family back it was a bad decision to cancel it. U cannot leave the viewers hanging like that. If ABC don’t want it another station should grab it
I have been telling everyone to watch this show- it’s riveting and suspenseful! And I hate that they cancelled it, especially after watching the incredible finale! I need more!
I’m sorry that this series was cancelled. I always looked forward to watch this show every Sunday. Hopefully it will be renewed for a next season.

COMPLETELY DISAPPOINTED TO FIND THIS SHOW IS CANCELLED!!! It was gripping and left me hanging every week. My co workers and I would look forward to going to work on Mondays to discuss the show.
