THE SEARCH RESUMES AS “FINDING BIGFOOT” RETURNS TO ANIMAL PLANET FOR AN ALL-NEW SEASON BEGINNING JANUARY 3rd
Season Premiere Determines Which is the Better Habitat for Bigfoot: The American or Canadian Bush?
(Silver Spring, Md.) -The natural world is full of discoveries to be made and truths to be uncovered. However, there is one legendary animal mystery that sparks passion unlike any other: the existence of Bigfoot. Animal Planet’s intrepid FINDING BIGFOOT team travels to the corners of the globe in hopes to, once and for all, prove that the elusive bigfoot (aka sasquatch) is out there.
The new season of FINDING BIGFOOT premieres Sunday, January 3, from 9-11 PM (ET/PT), as Animal Planet’s curious crypto-zoological team sets foot in new locations with modern technologies to progress the search. And in the two-hour premiere, Bigfoot Field Research Organization (BFRO) president Matt Moneymaker, researchers James “Bobo” Fay and Cliff Barackman and field biologist Ranae Holland split up to determine the better sasquatch habitat: the American or Canadian wilderness. While the countries share a border, they boast different landscapes, so Cliff and Matt investigate the Canadian bush while Bobo and Ranae scour their home turf for evidence.
This season, the team investigates the following states:
· Maine, Sunday, January 10, at 10 PM: A cornucopia of bigfoot artifacts exists in the Pine Tree State, so the team takes its first trip to Maine and heads deep into the woods to learn more within this east-coast squatching haven.
· New Hampshire, Sunday, January 17, at 10 PM: In picturesque Mount Washington, concerned resort owners reach out to the team with a slew of reported sasquatch sightings gathered throughout many years.
· Georgia, Sunday, January 24, at 10 PM: Military bases are some of the country’s most protected and secluded areas. In a top-secret sasquatch investigation, the team goes into full stealth mode and utilize tips from military members to investigate forests just off base.
· Oregon, Sunday, January 31, at 10 PM: The team has been to Cliff’s home state before, but they never have explored beyond Cliff’s usual spots. The team takes a helicopter trip deep into the Oregon wilderness to one of the most remote locations in the show’s history. And, for the first time, the team employs drones with infrared cameras.
FINDING BIGFOOT is produced for Animal Planet by Ping Pong Productions. Brad Kuhlman and Casey Brumels are executive producers for Ping Pong Productions. Keith Hoffman is executive producer and Sarah Russell is producer for Animal Planet.

Someone needs to tell Renae that every time she says she can’t rule out that it’s a bear. Remember bears spend 99% of there time on four legs. They can’t take six to eight foot strides across a road. They would be to clumbsy. And bears have snouts and visible ears. How many witnesses that you have spoken with, recall seeing ears or a long snout on a Bigfoot? I like Hobo and Mat am a knower, I had my first and only awe inspiring sighting when I was twenty in northern New Jersey, near the Pennsylvania border . I witnessed… Read more »
My name is Pauline. My husband and I had 2 encounters with a big foot. I don’t know if it was 2 different ones or one of the same. I had written u guys 2 yrs ago about our encounter but never gotten a response. Long story short visit the Poconos in pennsylvania. When we lived in MountainTop we saw these 2 big foots during the time we were delivering papers…it was the most exciting time of our life. The one or 2 we encountered stood 9 ft tall and built like a house…very muscular. When my husband and I… Read more »

Is Bo Bo ok? I noticed that he seemed to have lost a lot of weight in the last televised show. Perhaps he has been on a diet?
Bring back Bigfoot
Ya I agree with BigFootFan this is ridiculous I thoughts I might have misheard what the promo’s said about January then March 2016 but there was nothing, what the bloody ELL happened and why no answer at all!!!! We have been loyal fans since the beginning and they can’t even give a reason for the current issues or whatever’s happening with the show. How about some respect animal planet.
What is going on with the show? I emailed Discovery communications and they sent a reply saying the show was going to return May 15th (Sunday), after being promoted as airing Thursday nights. Then, it was a repeat episode, actually a new ‘Further Evidence”, which is better than nothing. No update on Animal Planet’s website… Are they deliberately trying to mislead or anger viewers in an attempt to cancel the show without any backlash? This is very frustrating to me, I like and enjoy the show–especially the ‘town halls’ where locals talk about their sightings. It’s considerably more interesting than… Read more »
Love this show! Please keep them coming and replay old shows. …
I enjoyed watching bigfoot, cause I do believe that I saw a bigfoot in 1973 when I was eleven years old, and now I am fifty-three years old, and I told no one knowing that no one would believe me, so I am indeed a believer.
I thank animal planet for this reality show and matt moneymaker for taking the chance to embark on the journey of finding bigfoot. So keep up the great work you guys, love y’all.
WTH !!! Can’t even enjoy a season because I know it’s only going to be four episodes long . I hate river monsters !!
I enjoy the show although I missed it this year
Thank you for deleting my comment. It shows a lot about how you feel towards your ex-fans thoughts and feeling.
I cannot believe how elusive and irritating it is to find out this TV show is cancelled!! It is like looking for evidence that Bigfoot exists.Don’t they realize that fans will be heartbroken and disappointed considering how long we have all watched!!!??? This deserves an explanation and better still…. A closing, not a no answer type deal where you have to guess what is going on! I am beyond shocked and upset that Animal Planet would treat Finding Bigfoot fans this way…. Puts the TV reality shows in perspective for me, makes me not want to watch TV AT ALL!!!… Read more »
